Checked around the web to see if the design had been done before, and I think I'm okay. The title has been done once, but it was a whole different concept.



Anyhow, I'd like to improve this design and I'm willing to make major changes if necessary to further the concept.



It seems a bit empty and uninspired to me right now, so I'm looking for some feedback on how to make it more interesting.



Should the mugger be shoving his hand in like squirrel hole in the tree?



Should there be a spotlight on the mugger?



Should he have a different expression and/or show eyes?







Just some possibilities, but wanted some ideas first.

I think it definitely needs more light or at least harsher shadows/more contrast.

Nutrius, should I personify the tree and actually have him giving an apple or should I just show the mugger taking an apple from a low branch?

Alright. V3 is here. Got some feedback from some other internet buddies, so I added a squirrel with his hands up and the mugger putting an apple in his pocket.



And I fixed the mugger's head tilt as well.



Anything else?

maybe it should be a bushel. I don't know how he'd carry that though. A basket? then you can see he already stole some other fruit.

That's a good idea, it's just that...I don't want the mugger to be a 'little red riding hood.' I mean, I want him to be at least a little bit menacing. I don't thing a bushel or a basket would help him with that.

Here are some shirt color options and one alternate placement. Personally I like the navy blue shirt with the centered placement. What do you guys think?

I like it on navy at the bottom right. You mentioned that you didn't want him to be little red riding hood, but would it be funnier if his hoody was red? just a thought.

Heh, glad you get it Jeiji. You can see more detail in the previous versions, I just couldn't fit the entire design plus the shirt option in one 640X800 frame.



Good thought charity. I'll see if I can put together a "nicer" mugger with a play on red riding hood and see how it looks.

yeah it's hard in this version to see what's going on. i think keep the placement simple and centered and allow the large image in the back to show off the details.

I think the gun needs some work. Check V4 for detail, but it just looks flat to me. Suggestions?

I like the placement of the shirt on the far right. I'd like to see what this looks like on a lighter shirt. Maybe a green or a grey?

This is cute, but i'd like to see more interaction between the tree and the mugger. Maybe add an expression to the tree/ arms/ or showing that the tree as dropped "treasures" or "valuables" that the mugger has procured?
