Really like the design of this one, but it needs work. my suggestions would be:



*Add more rain coming from the clouds (as it is the source of it)

*More reflective glimmer on the drops and umbrella

*Align the pole of the umbrella better against the top area

* Would be cool to have some drops splashing on the umbrella itself. The additional droplets could also have faces on...kinda like the little children. :-)

I added some shading and raindrops, also I added a kind of 'dead face' on one of the fallen drops but I might take that out...

I'm not sure that I dig the arms but the rest of it is pretty cute. I like the grade school watercolor look of the whole thing. I think maybe you over compensated from the first version to this one and added a few too many drops.

I took away some of the drops, added more coming from the actual cloud, and worked on the handle.

The umbrella pole still needs to be straightened with the top of the umbrealla. They don't line up. maybe move the pole more to the right.

This one came out fast, I know.

I just moved the handle over a little (something I forgot to do on the previous version), added a drop or two, took a couple out, and filled in some tiny holes.

try vectoring this. cool idea, i'd like to see the rain drops look more uniform in size and shape.

also, my girlfriend told me to say you should add more dead drops.

I like the dead drop too....kind of helps to explain why the falling ones are unhappy. I also like the splattered one above the one with the dead face; maybe more of both.

I added some dead faces on the drops and some more of the ones that are splashing.

Let me preface this by saying I have no art background and am brand new to this site, so take all advice with a grain of salt.



I like the style, would suggest adjusting the handle a bit. I don't know the correct umbrella terminoloy/anatomy, but it looks like you should see a little of the handle under the white section to the left of the little black point. I also think the curve on the right side of the umbrella might be a bit too sharp.



Some things to try and see if you like the look:



Try swapping the placement of the topmost unhappy drop (by the neck) with the one closest to him... I think that might even it out a bit, he's so far up there he seems to be pretty separated.



Add some blank drops - one or two in the gap to the top right of the largest drop, and a few along the right side.



This shirt reminds me of playing in the rain as a kid, love the idea!

I like the hand-drawn quality of it....a couple of fewer drops and maybe try some different shirt colors and it should be good!

hmm.. i think if you draw a girl or a boy underneath that umbrella it'll add to the design. Right now its just a big umbrella towards the side and I'm not sure whether i'd buy it if it was so. I"m digging the hand-drawn style as well and think you should stay with that.



Not so sure about that cloud placement on the shoulder. I think you need to try different spots for it. or maybe take it out completely and just have blue drops

I really like it, it has a cool feel, but I think that the one big drop is a little too eye-catching, it draws away from the design as a whole. Perhaps make it very slightly smaller...

what program do u use?

I use Photoshop Elements 6.0

I took out the cloud, fixed up the umbrella, added shirt colors, made the big drop smaller, and that's about it, other than small tweeks.

why is the raindrop so unhappy? i thought it was born to freefall............ yippeeeee!!!

...Because they are falling and will crash.

Just for fun you could have one with a parachute or wings, smiling.

You could add some drops falling from the umbrella to the bottom of the shirt! This is getting good!

Also, you could try giving the drops some light...

This is cute. The shape of the rain drops and the degree of the umbrella handle looks a bit awkward to me. And I agree with X3No5, a raindrop with a parachute would be cute.

It's a nice idea! I like that the raindrops are sad. I agree that you should refine the shape of the raindrops just a bit more.

This is an interesting idea, but I don't think it is sub worthy in it's current state. It needs to be cleaned up quite a bit first - also think about trying to connect the rain in the top left with the umbrella somehow....right now they are very disconnected visually.

i love the concept. I think you need to maybe clean it up just a little and show some raindrops closer to the umbrella

I agree with michellewindy :] You should definitley add a parachute to one of the raindrops.
