Cool idea (Are you Australian? 'Coffee is my mate' is an interesting choice of words).



I'm thinking swap the grays for browns- so it all just screams 'coffee'.

I agree! Give it a coffee brown feel! I also think the head should be complete.. it looks kind of lopsided when it's cut off like it is..

I like the idea, is great for the coffee lovers, I would use more colors, specially browns... I think the face is a little bit creepy, maybe if you add curves to the traces would look less creepier...

i added more browns and a placement on a brown t-shirt, thanks for the suggestions =) i also made the head relatively more complete.



i'm a bit sceptical when it comes to making the face seem softer, as it feels like it's supposed to be creepyi sleepless and coffee-high... comment please!

I like it! maybe there should be a softer white edge to it? kinda feels "abrupt" on the shirt

I think that it isn't so much creepy as it is the person looks malicious, like he is plotting something behind the coffee cup. I think there is a better way to do frazzled and sleep deprived. (IMHO messy hair and bloodshot eyes)

Well, I think maybe you could take the coffee cup off of this position, maybe giving the man more details, making him looking more as a stresses out worker! Maybe some background would help on that!

I love shirts with text, although the community shot down my idea :P Personally, I might clean up the lines a bit, but I know it's a stylistic thing. I agree with quiw that a stressed out dude with like red eyes or something might make it more intense, but great idea nonetheless!

i softened the lines a bit,

got rid of the extra colors (now are 8)

tweaked the colors a bit more - now going for a coffee & cream theme.

Hmm.. interesting.. I think the placement is fine, but I'm not sure about the tee color.. although I'm not sure what other options you have.. maybe sand? The brown is a little too much of a contrast against the white I think

Wondering where you are based? Don't think we have Coffeemate here in the Netherlands but I remember this from the UK.



I think the fingers can be worked on as they are all the same length (esp. the persons right hand). Also more stress lines under the eyes?



Other than that, I love the style of it....cool!

I like how the coffee cup mouth turns into the person's mouth.

The brushstroke background is getting in my way though...

@orangesensation i'm based in Turkey. we have coffee mate here. i never gave mch thought to how much the pun would've been international, as the sentence is widespread comprehensible, but people seem to be paying attention to that. oh well, attention is good i guess ;)

I like the top colour best. You have a cool style, but it's hard to see the design this small. Can't wait to see the bigger view!

I'm not digging the white border to it. I'd suggest placing it on a white shirt so you don't have to have a border.

I'm with Papaprime...the white background just seems kind of... I don't know, like what happens when you buy the cheap iron-on transfer paper for darks from the office supply store and it has the white border around it. Maybe just have it in the person and make it a cream instead of white?



Also, I like the "is my" with the hard angles but something about the "bubble" letters in Coffee Mate aren't working for me. To drive home your play on the Coffee Mate creamers, maybe imply (not copy directly because that would be bad) their logo with a similar font.

If you have illustrator you should do a live trace and just have one colour for the lines, then get rid of that scratchy white background.

I see that you have worked on the fingers...looks better. I'm looking forward to seeing a bigger view of the design...in my opinion i think the top one is better.



About the bubble font...I'm not sure, seems to fit the design in my opinion since it is a sketch design but then again, i think i'm used to it from the previous versions.

I like the top left best. I'd still swap the white bg for a cream or light tan.

The placement looks good, but I'm not a fan of how the arms cut off on the art itself. Maybe make those rough edges a little more sketchy feeling to bridge to the colour of the shirt?

yup, i'd like it if the illustration would blend a bit more naturally to the background colour. &i prefer the font on the lower image.

Its got an awesome earthy feel which definately says coffee to me, as a coffee head from way back I love it, the only thing Id add would be something in the background like maybe some scattered beans or some grinder components or something
