wtfffffffffffffffff

how do people come up with brilliant shit like this?

seriously.

i don't even know whether it's worth critiquing how the drawing can be better, because how it's weirdly not quite drawn realistically adds to it?

anyway. i'm sold. $5

(maybe see if it's not too horrendous coloured corn-dawg style)

Well, thanks.

I wish I could say the surreal drawing was purposeful : / but that's my illustrative skill at play.

but I got a "wtf(fffffff)" out of ginette. I have accomplished something today.

it was mostly the shading that i would have commented on anyway. like if you wanted it to be realistically i would suggest actually drawing directional hairs. the only thing that's sort of 'bad' about it is that you change your pencil direction too much/not in the right spots and maybe rely a little too much on thick outlines (esp. around the eyes)

but again, i think with an idea this bizarre you don't really need to be mega realistic to make it stronger, but maybe you want to try it out? i dunno.

Gotcha, the contrast layer I played with made those appear, they were pretty well hidden in my original sketch.

Thanks, I'm not used to getting actual tips in this forum at all :D

Hate to play devil's advocate, but like calculus, someone far away got the same idea at the same time: http://www.crowdspring.com/projects/graphic_design/clothing/a_crowdsourced_shirt_for_reddit_com/gallery/another_design

^well that sort of sucks that someone thought of it before but also, that design sort of just fucking sucks.

keep on keepin' on papa.

Shit.

Oh well. Thanks for pointing that out now. I hate it when people point it out during voting.

And thanks again ginette.

Doesn't matter who thinks of it first, just how it is executed.

I think this concept will work best on a Dachshund's entire body.

What? Don't give up on the concept friend, that contest isn't over yet and therefore it hasn't been selected for a shirt. As far as the concept goes you weren't aware of that execution.

Ideas can't be copyrighted, the execution is, so keep at it!

It's alright. If I feel strongly about it later, I might run it, but traditionally, ideas that have been seen before are scored low by the majority of the voters.

Not necessarily true. Here's today's woot shirt: http://shirt.woot.com/Blog/ViewEntry.aspx?Id=8674

and here's a sub that's being well received: http://www.threadless.com/submission/219350/Untitled_Impossible

on second thought, let's keep that a secret.

I wouldn't flag that anyways, that illusion has been used in some form on countless shirts, one with a dog's leash wrapped around the 3 prongs, one with some cowboy's legs and rifle butts making an alike illusion, even a new shirt this week has that triangle illusion in it.

This is a pun, and repeated puns are pointed out very quickly.

I'm bored and overstating things. :D

:( i really don't think people would have much of a leg to stand on with pointing this one out though. sure it's the same wordplay, but yours is so much better it's unbelievable.

plus it isn't like that other shirt has even been picked up and printed yet. the pun is still fair-game!
