I wanted to contrast the sketched, drawn nature of the girl with bolder, more geometric patterns and colors. This is my first submission, I hope you enjoy it!

Hmm...i'm really liking the idea man. But I think there needs to be more contrast in the girl sketch. And to add to the contrast even more, maybe build a solid vector design based on the stars and ray behind the girl so she becomes even more isolated?.. =D just a suggestion. good luck

Quite a few changes but tried to keep at least some of the original look. I made the sketch into a vector drawing, and added a new, bolder stars-and-stripes pattern behind her head. I think the vector drawing of her works better, not as washed out as V.1 but I'm not sure about the background yet.

hmm i think i like the first design better, mainly because i dont like the blue colour, just get rid of that i think

Yeah I prefer the first one as well. I think the composition works better and i think the stripes look awesome in the first one but looks too much like a fan in this one. maybe try adding the red to the stars or as a background to the piece. Really like the concept!

I like the colored stripes. I don't like the yellow shirt tho. Maybe natural would work better

yup the yellow dont look better with the design and i think it feels a little plain

i would change the shirt color maybe. and make the stripes like version 1.

I moved back to the rays from Version 1, which I decided were the better version, and changed the color of the scarf from blue to purple and also darkened the facial area. I took away the geometric stars and added in a star-field type graphic behind her, along with making the print much larger, which I think makes it seem more full and less incomplete. All the comments so far have been great! Hope you like this version!

I would place it a bit higher. Loose the rays. Keep the stars. Give her a moon and red eyes. That will make it less predictable. Nice job. Keep going.

I like brightwood's idea but instead of red eyes maybe some really bold white eyes would be cool. :) nice work

ooOOo yeah..i like where this is going man. Maybe refine the lines a bit on the sketch but i think its getting there. I'm actually interested in what your concept is but its got a very strong impact. I'm not sure why funnily.

The scarf looks bad, make shadows instead of highlights, dark colors versus light colors, remember, she's hiding.

i agree with adhesive, scarf needs some shadows big time

Ditto on the hippo... but I think that the concept works. Higher placement would make the image more immediate. Consider smoothing the lines out a bit as well... maybe converting to vectors? Give it some thought.

Lovely design! Looking at the older versions, this one with the darker t-shirt works very nicely :)
As said above, you should add shadows to the scarf. And maybe make the rays more subtle?

make the blue rays the same color as the tee shirt, it would stop them from stealing attention from the main interest
