What do you all think?

elemenopy on Jun 29 '09
Hey everyone... Any thoughts for improvements?
|
|
elemenopy on Jun 29 '09
I really want some feedback on this design before I submit it. Any thoughts?
|
|
I think the syrup could use some highlights to make it look shiny.

You can maybe add a circle on top of your design where you would put all the necesseray material to build your waffle (like the picture of the yellow brick with "x 24" after...as what you see on instructions)
Anyway, great idea! Can you vote for my design? |

Anything else?

AWESOME. Lego waffles. I love it!!

harturo123 on Jun 30 '09
i would use a different colour for the syrup. I think its too similar to the waffle's one.
Could you please vote for my design |

I like the idea...but something is missing...maybe a simple/creative background?

Colours are better and your final waffle looks fine too.
About the honey, it's better with the white lines but it still needs some texture since it looks a bit flat (esp. in the honeyjar). You can also replace the honey with chantilly...chantilly being white, that would change a bit of the yellow waffle. Well, if you want to critique and score all of mine, you will have some work, so if you just check one, Can you check this one? |

wow it has come a long way!
I would like to see some highlights on the glass of the syrup bottle also if you did a list of pieces at the top like they do on lego diagrams you could add the word recipe in the title and really play with the irony ..... plastic food makes me think of McDonalds breakfasts hehe would like to see it on a real tee pic to really get an idea of how its going to look would appreciate your feedback |

I love the idea of the list of "ingredients" too - you would have to move your design down though to put the list at the top. Otherwise it's great - makes me want to play with Legos while I'm eating a waffle....
If you're interested, please look at mine: http://www.threadless.com/critique/47612/Dairy_Curl Thanks!! |

Kim456 on Jul 05 '09
could put the list on the sleeve
just think it would really add to the lego idea maybe make the design bigger on the shirt otherwise looking good! |
|
elemenopy on Jul 05 '09
That's my thinking too... to put the list of "ingredients" on the sleeve. I'll design that in for the next version. And Bigger... yes!

bygrinstow on Jul 05 '09
hmm. I feel like it takes too long to get to the punch line.
Step 3 is redundant after you have step 2, and after step 5 you could have the completed waffle with syrup only covering half, to make sure what's under the syrup is visible. Also, that way the images could maybe run larger, and perhaps in a zig zag down the entire front of the shirt. |
|
elemenopy on Jul 05 '09
Hmm. I'll look at that. I appreciate the feedback. Keep it coming.

It might be on the fence about copyrights, I mean you don't come out and say it, it's a hilarious idea though.

Note submission titled "Legolas".
|
|
PuppetMeat on Jul 05 '09
I agree with bygrinstow, in that it runs a little long. I think you can accomplish the idea with just using images 1, 2, 6, and 7, without losing much if any hilarity of the idea. I'm not sure you need an ingredient list, I think the idea stands well by itself.
Of course, just an opinion. I'm not qualified to give you any definite pointers. :P |

Nice. What about a little shading on the syrup part of the container? Otherwise, good!
If you don't mind, would you look at my Panda? |

elemenopy on Jul 06 '09
New version! check it out!
|
|
frostedlemoncoward on Jul 06 '09
This might be kind of picky, but the syrup jar seems a bit small compared to the size of the lego and plate. And given how much syrup is on the lego waffle, I think the container should be emptier. These are just small fixes, though; I think you've got a great idea!
I don't have any designs or critiques up, but if you've got time, could you take a look at some of my slogans? |

Oh, Ive already been here. But linked again through the Shoguns. I love this. It has much potential. Everything looks awesome and ready to me, except the syrup bottle. It needs some highlights and shadows. I think this has much potential with the TL audience.

i agree with the above comments. Great work‼

mygrandadsname on Jul 06 '09
For me, there's still something in the feel of step 5 that isn't connected to 1-4. I do like the sleeve idea.
|
|
Neat. Try a light color shirt maybe.

What do you all think?

God I remember putting lego together with those booklets! Great idea!

glease65 on Jul 24 '09
I like the concept. There's something about the light blue back I would maybe try other colors too.
If you could check mine out that'd be awesome. http://www.threadless.com/critique/49251/Love_Arrow#lastcomment |
