It's a Crane, see... ;-)

This is an old Tee design that i drew ages ago. Decided to vectorize it and see what people think...

Great idea. Try some shadings on the buildings and the crane. It all looks pretty flat, but still an awesome design.

Red Earth - What a cool idea! I think what this piece needs is DETAIL. I think if you drew the crane as a series of lines (like a mechanical crane, but it the colours of the feathers), and added details to the buildings, you'd be on your way to a print! :)

it's a good idea...but can you make the word play more apparent? Maybe by making whatever it's holding a little clearer/larger?

This is a funny idea, but something about the buildings bothers me a bit. What about making the buildings more unique from each other?

Ok, so i changed the Crane. Now it's more subtle i think. I added some basic shading to the buildings which gives them a lot more depth i think. So, what do you think?

Thanks for the feedback, i think i'm gonna try and do a version with some more detail on the buildings but i don't want it to get to busy. I feel the design is more about the idea in this case than the illustration.

Definitely an huge improvement, and the buildings look better now too. I'd say it's submittable!

the crane this way is a massive improvemetn - a far cleverer concept.
i think the whole design is too small though - i'd like to see less building and it bigger and higher up on the shirt.
i also think the buildings themselves need to be more interesting - i'm sure you can do this without making them too busy - and i think your crane needs to look more strong - looks a bit flimsy at the moment.
i seriously think you could detail this up loads and add some more intereseting elements - clouds and city details - without losing the idea.
so for now i say the concept is solid, but the execution needs a little work.

Okay, so i changed a lot for this version but i think the design is a lot better now. I've lost some of the buildings and made the crane taller. I've also edited the right leg because it wasn't looking right to me. I've added more detail to the buildings, and i think that they look a lot better now. Overall the design is better positioned on the shirt i think which is the best thing.

Oh, and i added clouds. so what do ya think :P ?

Congrats, the buidings look great taht way, I prefer this version.
As for the crane leg, in fact I think I would like to see it bent on the other way...you know what I mean?? the knee being at the left of the other leg.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Although, that does not limit you from sub'ing it again with your interpretation. You're off to a good start.

Really great changes! I hadn’t seen the other crane design before… but I prefer yours so I wouldn’t worry. Love how it’s made out of scaffolding, genius!

If your's scores better it has as much of a chance to get printed. If you believe in your design just throw it out there and see what happens. People look at so many designs most will not remember there was a crane before. Many ideas are done over and over.

I like the 8 bit feel to it and the idea is nice too. I'm not really feeling the clouds though. Why are they flat on the bottoms? Other than that, I think it's cool.

I can see the potential. I love the idea, but try to bring in more detail in de buildings and the clouds. I love the idea. The crane bird is perfect. Maybe a litte cabin with a guy in it? Good luck.

Sweet idea! I like it, but there is something that just seems unfinished. I would add some more detail to the buildings. Maybe some windows. Like the concept. It is our reality!

i love it! i think it would maybe look just a bit better if you added like some of the workings of a crane onto it, like have the cable go up and along the back, add a little cabin right at the top of the legs maybe?

I think the placement is awesome, and I'm a fan of flatter space, so I like the simplicity of it!

i like the double entendre :) however, if there's a crane, there must be a construction somewhere, right? Just an idea :)

Just want to say thankyou to all the people that have commented and critiqued my design so far, it definantly wouldn't have got this far without your help.

So i changed a few things for this version. I've added more clouds which helps to balance the design out a bit more i think. I've also added a little man in a control box at the top of the legs on the crane. I've also turned the building on the far left into one under construction, as tippycal helpfully pointed out, I had a construction crane but nothing under construction!

I think this is probably gonna be my final version, unless someone spots a glaring problem with it that i have overlooked. so what do you think?
