I wonder how it would look to halftone the hair as well, after adding shading to it? Or, to keep things more balanced, perhaps a few more added things to the 'lisa? Such as a lip-ring, maybe? Otherwise, I like it!
It's a good idea... I'm just feeling the hair is not matching the halftoned image quite well... I think you have two ways to go... either make it more realistic to match better... or exagerate the difference maybe using some color (purple highlights for example)
The painting of the monalisa, if you notice, the face is like hiding a secret. Making the monalisa emo, as emo's self harm themselves; want to die etc. it doesn't reflect well, hope you'll understand =/.
looks a lot better than v1. all the details you added really make a great overall effect.
the fucsia looks cool as well
mu only concern is the width of it at the bottom - it seems to get very wide which in turn makes her head looks a bit small... can you slim the base down a bit?
good, ghandek futur u nixtieq nofendik bil malti, ghalek se nejdlek mur hudu foxx dik il balla ommok pufta kollok.
just get back the smile DUDEE, sad face is good for no one - or maybe you should have one 'cause you dont have enough good ideas, making a sad face on a paint like that.. pfff. i wish it was your portrait.
Simpson, with all due respect, please calm down. Obviously the style appeals to some people, and if it doesn't appeal to you, that's fine. See if you can help improve what the designer is trying to accomplish, not what you want to see done.
As for the design, I'd agree with the notion that it needs more contrast. A little more definite lines. Hopefully if you do that the nose ring, lip ring, fingernails, and ring won't look quite so out of place. I understand that it's difficult to show detail when the objects are such a dark color to begin with though.
Also, is that a dither effect? Don't know if a different effect would accomplish your goal, but it is sort of hard on your eyes. Maybe it's the pink though. I agree with SusanTuma about the gray.
Anyways, keep working at it! I can see this as being a prime shirt design.
i like this design its cleaver and looks reallly good on the shirt
the only thing is that i can't realy see the headphones ... at first i didn't even notice they were there .. maybe you could make them bigger ... or just stand out from the black more ...
really like the halftone effect and looks like you've slimmed her down a bit as well which is good.
agree about the headphones - maybe take some of the shadow out of them so you can see their shape more easily.
have you considered highlighting this with small touches of colour or foil or something. i dunno, like paint her lips or make her nose stud gold foil or silver.
not that i don't think it looks great as it is just wondering what that would be like?
what about the halftone?
