aha.. an artemis fowl reference gets my vote automatically. the rope/arms look a little weird though, as if hes using no effort at all. im thinking the rope should be more tight?

Fixed the rope and made it 8 colors still keeping specialty ink etc. Any other comments? Pointers?

This is awesome. Id suggest working on the pot so that it looks a bit more like the leprechaun himself. and what about some shading on the leprechaun? this is a super fun shirt and super idea!! well don e

The rope looks like it has no tension at all on it. If you could make it look more like the leprechaun was actually rappeling it would be more dynamic.

I agree with the rope comment. Also, does he have a clover in his right hand? I would like to see that part in detail as well. The leprechaun's legs look a bit weird to me.



However, I do love the placement on the tee, and the gold foil idea for the pot. Just a few more tweaks and you should definitely submit this!

fixed rope now there is more tension and its more realistic. How does it look did it improve? Any other feedback?

no comments on the lines there..generally is good enough.



but i may wanna see more shades of greens...especially on the clover, lep's shoes (could use refined lines).

Agreed, I love the rainbow placement! This is such a neat concept, and I really enjoy the whole t-shirt. =) Awesome job. Although, at first I thought that the rope ended with the clover, but I think that's just because I looked at the smaller version.

yeah i agree with azarello - i think more shading is necessary on the leprechaun. i don't know what the deal colour wise is if you're already going for a speciality print with the gold - you may not be limited to only 8 which means you could really add some detail to this.

did some halftoning and detail improvement i like it a lot better whats your take on it though?

better than previous, but i think u still have a too-many-colors problem.. also, i wud try different placement for it, for example i wud try to move it a lot to the right (on left pic), just check it and c if it works better..

well colors shouldn't be a problem since i can just make it a simulated print and I really did try to move it to the right but it took away from the main focus which is the lep. By having him centered you go right to him if i put him on the right it takes away from it i think and makes your eyes go to a stupid rainbow thank you for those suggestions though I really appreciate that you think it looks better :)

Why the halftones if it is the same consistency over the entire thing? Doesn't that just add more colors? Shouldn't it be used for shading?



I still love the idea though, keep at it.

yeah technically mainly people use it for shading but i thought hey why not give it a shot and see what people think. Ill try it with just shading though

okay so here is a compare and contrast between the two. The one on the left has just halftone detail on the lep while the right has a halftone pattern on the entire thing. IT is going to be a simulated print either way i do it so what would you advise?

As for the half-tone, I would say you should have a more detailed half-tone on the leprechaun (bigger dark dots in the shadow fading into smaller dark dots in the lighter areas) and a solid rainbow.



Some other details you might consider:

brown shoes, band and buckle on the hat, pot handle, belt, and frayed end of the rope.

my only advice for this one, is to straighten out the rainbow. i mean, keep it curved, but the lines are obviously hand drawn and squiggly. just vectorize

i like this a lot better - it looks smoother, cleaner. I don't get the concept, cause m stupid like that, but i guess what matters is that it looks good on the shirt!

Good point Jock513, I think that the rainbow should wrap all the way around the sleeve, so that the colors meet with themselves on the inside of the arm, know what I mean? like an armband.

SirMat- lookin' good! I think the rainbow needs a bit of highlights/ shadowing work, but otherwise - pretty frikin' cool :)

Once again went out on a limb and tried something totally different rather then lep-RECON maybe Move Quickly. Because the rainbow is starting to fade before he can get to the pot, isn't this always the case?

Hehe, cute idea. I say stick with the "lep-RECON" concept and give Lucky some SWAT gear, with some infrared goggles attached to his hat.

keep the rainbow solid. the placement is much better.

i liked solid rainbow better but other than that i think it still looks great. the new placement does work well

What about a little more spy gear, like one of those cyclops-style Tom Clancy head things?

Oh yeah. Prefer this rainbow OVER the solid one.

Solid rainbow over the shoulder works best for me. This is a cool concept, and it's looking pretty close to done... maybe just play on "recon" a little bit more, maybe some binoculars or collapsing telescope or any of the other goggle suggestions that people said.



Oh, and it looks like his eyes are closed.. kind of like he's scared of heights, and not like he's out looking for something.

I'm diggin this, but I'm worried he's gunna fall since he's only holding the rope with one hand. :D How about putting the clover in his lapel and having him hold tight with both hands? It's also a little odd that the pot of gold will be located directly above the person wearing the shirts crotch. Maybe move it over to the left a little. A little bit of a shadow under the pot might be nice too and help ground everything.
