the colored one i think is better than the blue-ish one.. the blue u cant rlly tell if its a frog in the middle..and u cant really tell whats goin on.. anyway love the concept tho :)

I'm on the mono team. Much better for me in mono. The queens face loses something in colour, not sure what but it might be because the coloured one has strokes. The mono one is bolder because of the solid blocks of ink.

Is that a two-handled tankard in the middle?

I think the text should be a different style. not so plain.

I like the color one, but not the colors. If you know what I mean? I think like bright pinks and bright blues, teals, purples, oranges, etc would be better than those natural colors.

I like the blue one too

I prefer the blue one. The colours take too much away from the design. what about putting "happily ever after" instead of "happy" doesn't make much sense to me. What about making a slight difference between the prince and princesses crowns, instead of just duplicating the image and flipping it. give the illusion its the same but really there's subtle differences.

Ok Since a lot of people prefer the mono on blue tee, so i'm gonna develop that version. So this is my V2 of "Princess and The Frog". Hope people will love it better than the first one :)

oh actually i like it better in the color version, but the frog seems more noticable to me in the mono so whatever. i like the style of it, reminds me of face cards.

this is a very cute design... I like it. The only suggested change I can think of is... Where the banner "bends backwards", can you round/soften those corners a bit? The sharp corners seem to interrupt the nice flow of the rest of the design.

i agree about the banner, and maybe if the crowns were set a bit lower..it's a really small thing, but just my suggestion!!

I don't know--I like it, but I was strongly encouraged to remove my text--they say it's a no-no on here unless it's a Type-tee. IF you decide to, it seems like the design is not balanced and would then need something else in place of the banner. It's your call--I like it, but then again I liked mine too and now it's gone.

Man, they came down hard on you for the spamming thing didn't they? I'm new here too so I didn't know either--I'm sure I ticked off a few people. I guess we'll learn!:)

i don't think you need to lose the banner at all.
the whole "threadless doens't print this kind of thing" argument is a bit off in this case, as it tends to veer more towards text only designs.
some people do a design based solely on text and then try submit when that sort of thing would definitely be considered more of a typetee. this is different - the text isn't the main element of the design - it's quite obvious that the images of the couple and the frog are while the text is secondary. I personally don't think the banner is a problem at all and it really enhances the design. no one has actually said "don't use the text" they've all just warned you off about what they've heard from other people about text - it's second hand info and in my opinion it's wrong. there's no way this could be considered a type-tee and the majority of your comments are expressing concern at you losing the banner which implies you should keep it!

leave the banner with the exception of rounding those corners off and maybe brighten the whole thing up a bit - i prefer the monochrome but i do think it needs a kick somewhere colour wise.

also, try not to take advice that doesn't relate directly to your design. just because someone else got told to take text out doesn't mean all text should automatically be removed - some designs have text which is either unnecessary or sometimes even detracts from the design and in those cases i'm sure those people were told directly. you on the other hand, have had almost completely favourable comments on your banner so try not to let other peoples designs or generalizations impede on your work. if as a whole we didn't like the text or the banner, we'd say so but so far you've only had one direct negative comment on it from what I can see - the others have all been hearsay - and lots more positive ones.

Huh...interesting man. You know honest to god I don't think I got anything really to critique. I saw what digsy said and sorta agree. Generally type can ruin a piece if it doesn't work well, same the other way also. But you got a good balance here. Very simple, clean, and gets the point across. Go ahead and submit it man. Ok this is something that just crossed my mind. I tried to make it like an old royalty emblem with a vintage touch instead of mono. And i think it looks cool and rich. But i do you guys think the same as me or should i go back to mono style?

By the way i tried to take the banner off and it looks weird, it looks like there's something missing from that picture. And i also tried to change the type "happily ever after" with just a decoration element and it looks like meaningless.

So so far i still keep the banner in it. Do you guys think it worth the risk to submit it with the banner and the type?

I actually really like this colour version - not certain about the vintage look or whether it's necessary though. personally when you sub, i would suggest offering up the monochrome and a colour version - it's been done before, in fact a recent print was subbed as having two options and then threadless just picked which one they decided to print.

Hey Everybody... Now i need your opinion again. I have three options here.

Frame 1: Is the vintage style in color. i only make a small change on this, i make it a little bit smaller and i refine the "vintage style"

Frame 2: is the monochrome style

Frame 3: is the monochrome style but i combine it with style from frame 1 which is "vintage style" in monochrome.

So which one should i sub?

Oh man! Tough choice! Vintage for sure and I guess if I have to pick one to wear, I'd pick...I don't kow! I love them both!

But objectively, the monochrome draws the text into the design more, which is a good thing. The color-style is really really lovely though. I guess you need to hear from someone more decisive that me!:)

think the monotone looks sick! i really like the vintage look but i feel on your monotone vintage its a little to much i think it would be sick with a little bit of the scratches but what you have there is a bit much in my opinion looks awesome though

I don't want to give you bad advice, so I choose not to give you any in this particular situation. ;) My thoughts are, no matter what you choose--this design is GOOD and it will get GOOD scores.
So don't fret over it too long--because we're all waiting!!!:D

I think frame 2 is still by far the best, super stylish! The multi-color is too much going on, and the faded effect distracts from the art. Frame 2, monochrome!!
