Here's an eagle I made in Illustrator, with some slang. If you have comments or suggestions, please post! Also, if you have a better phrase than "Whassup?" please post it.

It would be nice if you used a different, less mechanical font.

gotcha. Are you thinking more of a grunge, or just more organic looking?

Yea i agree on not using the mechanical looking font. The eagle and the font don't seem to mesh together for me. but that font really draws my eye, maybe you should consider using it with another design or idea. I think it would go better with a robot or something, because it is very mechanical, and just has that kind of feel to it

The eagle looks great-- I agree with the others about the font.

The eagle has some different line weights, which works nicely on the body of the image but the edges of the white, for me, need a stroke too.



This is also too big for my liking. Maybe 90% scale would be better.

Alright mate? Cheers for the feedback o my design! I REALLY like the eagle and the concept, but I agree with the others, the type and bubble don't quite fit. Maybe you could do the bubble and type in the same style as the eagle?

Well, it took much longer than anticipated, but this new version now has better text and a background. If you have comments or suggestions, post them! You don't have to sugarcoat anything, just toss it out there.

the eagle looks good but it needs a better"hook". Wassup is very hard to read

it's nice. not really sure what is going on here but it's drawn well. are you spoofing the "wassup" campaign from budweiser from a few years ago?

graphics are great, but the text is like trying to read a bad CAPTCHA. I don't really know what would be funny for an eagle to say, but I don't think 'wassup' really works. keep at it!

While I wholeheartedly appreciate the humor behind the idea, I don't think the line-art style and font choice fit properly.



I can envision this as a redneck styled shirt (3 wolf moon style) with a realistic eagle and the word bubble business.

In this version, I added a stronger hook to the eagle's beak, and changed the text. I'm still not final on the text, so again, any recommendations are very welcome.

How about something like "Caw-Caw, Bitch!" unless you are trying to stay away from profanity. just my 2cents.

definitely don't use wassup. try rotating the eagle so his beak is facing down. i think the sideway presentation is awkward. the speech bubble and caw don't go together well at all. not a fan of the speech bubbles at all actually.

the speech bubble doesn't cut it for me. i think it takes way too much attention of the eagle, so either lose it or change it's size to something smaller and with a more comic book shape 'cuz somehow that shape reminds me of moby dick..

I really like the design - I'm mixed on the speech bubble, though I do think "Caw" works better than "Wassup!". I also like the progression on the eagle - it has a great look.

i don't think there needs to be any text at all. but if you're set on text i'm sure there's something he could be saying that reflects your political views. or maybe just "bite me" lol

I think the speech bubble is a funky shape too; it's almost too emphasized. I'm not sure size would help, but I do like the "Caw" quite a lot. Perhaps if you made it disgruntled looking... like not a smooth text bubble, but something like this: http://s3.envato.com/files/115906.jpg (The one all the way on the right side.) If he's truly apathetic, just keep it smooth I think, but if he's cranky (which seems more apt to me) go with some vague sharp edges... but keep them uniform. It's late, I don't mean to be so wordy. :)

You need to work on what the eagle's saying. Maybe something funny like "where's the rest of my body"...
