Are you going to leave it as a sketch?

This will do well as long as the koalas are super-cute. Make sure they are. Very important.

I like the way you are showing the design process here. Nice. And brave.

I do love the idea but I agree, not quite so sketchy.

I think now that it's a giraffe neck, all the trees in the background should be giraffe necks as well.

how are you with illustrator? this would look great drawn with fun, stylized vector shapes.

I like the idea of the koalas being on a giraffe...maybe have the giraffe's neck stick up beyond the circle a bit and show his head?

I think the critters need more expression, as well.

im not fond of the window of leaves, but if you keep it i think something should extend out from it...

maybe the giraffe's head could extend out and above the 'window', and a couple tree trunks could extend down

...something's needed to break the barrier of leaves

Looks cute, solid colors and it would be a go for me.

I'd like to see a different animal with each position. The two koalas don't work for me. Perhaps giraffe-koala-small monkey-spider?

i like it, but it needs something. dunno what though lol. one thing is if your going to includ the giraffe, i would add a head. cuz to tell the truth i didn't know it was a giraffe till others mentioned it. maybe have the giraffe looking down with a 'wha???' expression on his face? i dunno. thanks for critiquing me, it helped alot

Does it need the hat? None of the other animals have any clothing about them and it doesn't fit for me.

I think the enclosure could be bigger too. You could include more giraffe that way.

I think maybe if the bug became a chamelion or some lizard like thing that was catching a bug that would be great to. Just thoughts though.

i love the giraffe neck thing, and i agree with hollyc alexsilvers that the giraffe's head should be visible.... he should have some point of view about the animals that are riding on him, whether it be happy and accepting or that he had no idea they were there. also, i think the koalas could be fuzzier.... i'd like to see the white fuzz in their ears. cute idea... love the "zoo express" title.

I love the second version, and the giraffe neck idea is awesome.

Maybe a little bigger, but it's good

Thanks for the advice so far, everyone! It's all very helpful. I think you're helping me to shape a random concept into a package that makes a lot more sense.

Koala bears are my mostest favorite animal in the whole wide world. I think this shirt absolutely rocks! It's definitely better with the color on it. As for the comments about the style being left as a sketch or doing it with the shapes ... I really can see it either way. I kind of like the sketched look because it gives your personal touch, but the shapes will make it look more "polished." I love the design, though and I'm so glad you're showing us the process. Can't wait to see this in the design forum once you submit it! :-)
