I think there could maybe be a bit of a background.. like maybe the silhouette of a forest with the alien's saucer parked near it? Good job so far though :)

i like the idea. im not sure about the aliens head tho, it might just be me but theres something a little weird about it (apart from him being an alien) maybe move his head up to connect the pointed bottom bit of the head to the neck, and make the eye shine totally in the eye, im abit slow it took me a while to realise it was eye shine and not him peeking to the top left from under black glasses. apart from those changes i like it :)

I think this is a fun idea... first, I think the alien can use a little further development graphically, and I'm sure you'll be doing that. But, second, I agree with Ars, that you should do something with the background... my idea would be to somehow show an overhead view of like an outcropping in the woods - meaning like a circular clearing surround by trees where the little guy might have been dropped off. You could even make the color of the shirt be the woods, and just silhouette in the edge of the trees, then drop the shade a tad to show the grassy clearing where he and your letters sit. Just a thought!

I prefer the first one. It's cleverer and more subtle.

I just think the alien should be modified a bit... I like where it's going though.

I think the dark grey background is better with the lime green text. The alien has a few changes. The outlines and the self-shade are bolder and the eyes have changed.

I think the alien character has a very nice expression and body language but I'm not sure about the text. Maybe some lime green could be added to the alien to create balance and better co-existence? Lime green eyes?

i agree with Helen Munch ... And maybe try a different character of fonts family on the text maybe play around with bold and light fonts family?

haha its cool. Im not to sure about your alien though. he's cute but has a masculin and feminin look about him. you need to choose. What about a mouth? And I agree with the two above comments. you might want to play with the typography here. Try different fonts, colours, styles, shapes patterns... etc.

Aaaaah this one looks good!

I appreciate all the comments and I have tried to do something with the text. But it doesn't work for me. Using different colors of fonts or weights just emphasize each a word and makes it look more important than the other words. I like to keep it clean and simple.



I did change the eyes and drew a sad little mouth.



What do you think?

Sounds like a slogan for type tees! Have you subbed it as a slogan? If you join the Official Slogan Club you may be able to boost the votes on it too :)



As a design, it's very cute, but the alien looks a bit emo and as if he needs to pee. Maybe change his pupil positions? Also shading on the text would really lift the typeface.

Ohh, this makes me feel very sorry for the little guy. The alien looks a little curvaceous/effeminate, but I think that helps with his timidness too at the same time.

In this version I took away the mouth cause I didn't like it and I added a small shade behind the text and some grass in the text.

To be honest, I'm not missing the mouth. The grass is a nice touch as well; it adds difference to some of the words (so it's not just a solid block of text) and makes it feel like the bottom of the design as well as making it feel like the surface of th earth,



I made some progress on mine if you don't mind taking a quick look.

This looks much better I think! Did you try black outlines on the eyes? I just feel that the eyes might pop out more with that.
