haha, this is brilliant. Its funny and well illustrated. i think you need to show us how it would look on a tee. I really like the detail on the wood of the bed and the expression of the corn. Very good, I think its nearly ready.

Hmmm... maybe you could make the background slightly brighter, and increase contrast? For me, there are too many dark tones, and while I think it's a cool concept, it might end up looking like a yellow blob with a couple of other white blobs from afar :) I guess you could increase the shadows to retain that "middle-of-the-night" feel? :)

nyarm: on my computer the shadows stand out pretty well, but I will try and increase the contrast a bit more. thanks.

the contrast is a bit higher. and i fixed a shadow and added some kernel shadow, i only added 4 though. i got carried away and deleted a lot.

I like it! Might make the popped kernels a bit scarier.

Very humorous design. That contrast definitely works better. Maybe you should make the popcorn a tad bit more menacing. Just a tad though. Right now they look almost friendly. But then again, who doesn't like popcorn?

I agree with John and destructo, the popcorn should look more menacing and less like they're just shouting at him. Otherwise, this is great. Fantastic idea and very nice execution.

i messed around with several eye variations for the popcorn and some were just too scary for the design. So these are the final two. The top is still the same.

I almost feel as though the popcorn looks too menacing on the bottom illustration. Maybe something in between would work better. Great work!

Ah, more kernels! More popped kernels in my opinion, but I LOVE this design! You should show some action lines, too, because at first, I thought it was some ghost...cloud... type things that were attacking it, lol... But yeah iznaaaaas!

I think the top one is better. It has a more bouncy haha funny feeling. While the bottom one was a little more rawr bite your head off.

both are cute. maybe add some butter spots to the popcorn for depth/shadowing.

I'm not sure it's feasible with color restrictions but some minor highlights on the background items would make them 'pop' (ha forgive the pun) or er.. add a level of depth.

Top is way better. I like the lack of depth. It feels playful and fun. You could do highlights on the corn though.

Took all of your suggestions into play for this one.

At first I over did it with the highlights and the shadows, so I took a lot off and left this amount.

i gotta say, i really like the idea, but i like the long shadow of version 2 a lot better than the shortened shadow. also, i like the basketball in the design, but maybe incorporate it with like a poster on the wall as well? could be adorable to see a corn jordan.

Since you're already using 7 colors, I'd suggest adding one more color for highlights on the popcorns?

just repeating what everyone else has suggested - if you have a colour spare, try give the popcorn some highlights or shadows. I wouldn't use halftone either as I don't think it'll sit well in the design, just some solid colour like you've got elsewhere

What program did you use to create it?

i used illustrator to create all of the objects and characters and used photoshop to adjust my colors and add a little bit of texture

Took the last suggestion and made the corn a little more desaturated for the room.

this is just splendid! what a cute idea! the wallpaper is a nice touch. the big corn could look more scared, i think. perhaps he needs an kawaii sweat. are those von glitschga's textures in the bed?! a fine hint of detail!
