This is a very early draft of a design I'm working on, but I figure it's never too early to get some feedback.

Will this be the only event, or will the shirt, be filled with other events. Good idea. Finish it before someone rips you off.

Great. Im a rock fan so Im definitely loving it. How about add more people with their different instruments (bass, drums and mic for the singer) doing different things? Very nice.

some other runners on the background would make it more... something, I don't know. Maybe just a line, or faded and blurred, but the lonely figure leaves a lot of dead space all around.

I might do other shirts with rockers participating in other rock Olympics events. For this shirt I wanted to concentrate solely on this one guy and keep it fairly simple. Plus I haven't figured out how to work musicians into other events yet ;)

hahaha. Nice! I think it needs a lot more detail added and maybe some background but it's a great concept. Got a chuckle and that's good :)

I really love the original image, but would like to see some development on the second character... not sure that it reads Rockstar... might just be because he's a drummer and that's hard to portray with motion. I'd try to come up with something a little more rock and roll... I guess the hard part will be portraying that character as both rock and roll and losing the race... I will think on this and get back to you if I think of anything to help.

Woohoo, great idea. I like the simplicity of the first one, but I also like the drummer. Maybe the drummer could go on the back.



I think the lines either need to go or need to be knocked back. Not really into the skin colour either, a bit pink for me.



Might be worth seeing how it goes without the shadows on the ground too. They are pretty bold and don't really match the lighting on your characters.

Yeah I thought about adding a singer, but I'm worried about it getting too busy. I was even reluctant to ad the drummer. I'm still contemplating removing him and going with just the guitarist.

A few more tweaks. I dialed back the track lines, and adjusted the shadows a little.

Still not a fan of your colours but the design is looking great. What's your colour count?



Maybe get the ends of the lane marking running in perspective. They just look like block ended strokes at the moment.

Its a great idea but id like to see more than just track running. I would lose the second guy and add images of other olympic events. (javalin throw, hammer toss, roman rings or whatever thier called, etc.) Also put it on a more intresting color than grey, looks ultra boring at the moment.

I'm having issues with the colors, but I took some advice and made the track a guitar neck and added a third track/rock star although I'm still not certain what sort of musician to make the third rocker.. What's the verdict?

What about making the second person, the one who's diving, in a more rock oriented pose, like drumming, etc.? I like the front runner's pose the best.

So I decided to go a slightly different direction. I felt the other musicians added too much clutter and I believe this simplified version is much stronger. Also, I went back to my original colors but on a cream colored shirt. What do you guys think?

I actually think it'd be better on a different shirt color. maybe that green one from the previous version? and it seems a little empty. What you have is really good, but i think it needs a little something. maybe like a crowd of screaming fans around it?

Your guitar is more accurate-looking, but now it feels different from the rest of the style. I also liked the other hurdlers, and I also liked the other shirt color. In fact, I just like V7 better all around. I'm trying to think what you could add to V7 to improve it...



I agree with the other commenter that the drummerr should be in a rocker pose... unless he's crowd jumping/surfing. Maybe the "screaming crowd" suggested above should be below the guitar/track as if the guitar is both track AND stage. You know how there are just arms reaching up trying to grab the band?



Do you have any ideas for my first sub?

I think if you angled the guitar neck more so the hurdler ended up big in the bottom right of the shirt it would fix the problem of the shirt being too empty.

More compromises, but I think this is the direction I want to take this. It's not done, but I like to get feed back as I work. What do y'all think?

This design has come a good ways. The guy in front definitely has the best form for hurdles. To make this more like the Olympics or a competition, you could add more lanes with one person each. That way, if you wished to have the guy falling over, he could be in his own lane, or the rocker could be flying pass normal competitors.

Ok, I'm finally liking where this is going. That said I'm not attached to everything, but I've decided to move away from the drummer in earlier versions. I also don't want to have more than the three hurdlers I have. Of course I could be wrong about these decisions, and that's what critiques are for.

I think the characters need more detailing to give them personality. Also, i think using negative space and the colour of the t-shirt will work better than using vector art as the fore and back ground.



Could you maybe swing past my critique, Spotted and give me some feedback on colours?

The more detail you give everything the more the front guy might wants eyes. You could move the three lines in the back a little bit closer to each other to make perspective just a bit more dynamic.

I think taking the whole thing into a deeper perspective, from the lower right corner of the shirt to around the left sleeve (from our viewpoint) would sit a little better on the shirt.

I personally liked v10 better, but if you feel it came together without the outlines then definitely go with your gut. Great design either way. I'd put it on a more rock'n'roll colour though... red or yellow maybe.

Awesome idea. Completely original and refreshing. If I might make some humble suggestions - I dont really like the three lines that run down the top of the fretboard as a background. I think that you could do something much more interesting for a background, like maybe some drums that are tilted and positions so that the tops look like the olympic rings, or maybe a gold medal up close that shows some sweet rock scene or something, just to give it more balance. But I have to say that I am really excited about the idea. First one in awhile that really caught my eye. Keep up the good work.

The Drummer is back by popular demand. Now the question I have is what do about the background. Any ideas?

I think it would be cooler if they were all doing different olympic events (high jump, diving, discus). As far as the artwork goes, it looks very rough. The background could be a silhouette of a crowd in that light gray color.
