Needs more refinement. Ink and color it. I think that would be better than keeping this pencil look.

An update with human head and smoking pipe.



Adding the human head adds a whole new dimension to the idea, basically making it far more morbid, a dark comedy of sorts really. From "cute" to "wtf"

I personally prfer the version without the head because I'm not much for violence, even implied. But I think the head fits with the Threadless community better and it is rather funny.



I like the pencil look, it has a sort of charm and rustic look. I'd probably nix the pipe though; for me at least pipe smoking makes more sense when seated inside or on a porch, not tromping about the wild.

wow, that's dark.



The cartoony bear and flowers plus the severed head makes for kind of an uneasiness in this scene. I don't know how popular that would be- certainly not a kids shirt. And since i don't see any pun or popular reference here, I wouldn't want to wear such a macabre scene.



and compositionally, I think the oversize print is too big. a smaller, more traditional chest placement would fit this design better, in my opinion.



Also, the bear seems too skinny and human-proportioned. i think his legs and arms should be thicker, and his legs shorter.

by flowers, I meant birds, of course.

Ha-ha! Smokey's Revenge. Definite yes to the head. I'd say no to the pipe. Maybe add some tree stumps on the mountains to support/convey man's wrong doing. A couple of happy squirrels, bunnies, critters might further the cute to wtf. This is going to be very cool. Cheers!

Great illo, but I think a smaller, more central placing would be more effective. I think if you keep the head you should definitely downplay it, so the bear is the main focus of the picture.

Well, I would not work with him again if he's going to pull stuff like that. Although the internet is somewhat anonymous, blatant plagiarism usually catches up with you.



Don't worry, I've been accused of plagiarism with every single print I've had, one even included a print that someone ripped off of Threadless and printed it before they did. Their print was horrendous of course because the used a web file.

The addition of the head is great! What are you thinking of for the color scheme? I would go with low saturation hues of green and blue, like one of those old timey posters. If you could add the old timey effect to the inked version, that would be cool too!

Just read some of the comments- keep the head! It's very funny! Also, please keep the pipe! I think that it adds humor when you consider Smokey the Bear.
