I really like it, but maybe you can let the pencils be different lengts, so you wouldn't have the ' copy and paste' effect ..

That's a good idea also! I'm trying to think of a way to lengthen the print, and maybe have some of the design bleed onto the back of the shirt, I can't think of anything worthwhile yet...

Without the gradient it just looks super blocky. I'll mess around with it a little bit, but so far it seems like the versions with the gradient have been more effective.

The bright colors and black on white is almost hard to look at it. cool idea, just try different color shirts

Yeah I'm gonna mess around with halftones right now. I changed the shirt color to black, which made the gradients look suuuuper retarded. So now I have more incentive to switch from gradient to halftone. Brb with new version

I can't get the halftones to work right, and for some reason in Illustrator it won't even apply halftones anymore, so I'll work on it more after lunch..

I changed the top rays

when i first look at this i can't tell that the white think is a pencil, does it need the pencil at all? it is clear it is meant to look drawn, and the design is cool without it.

Yeah I'm just gonna take the pencil out, noone likes it apparently. Haha

I think I like v.6's halftones the most. The top lines just not doing it for me lol. Looks good though

Version 10 is the exact same design as version 9, just on the shirt template.

I accidentally messed up the order of the color on the top rays, this version fixes it.

Nice design, maybe add more stroke on the runner shadow. If doesn't looks nice, just forget about it. :)

i also like the halftones in v7 - not to say i don't like these as well, they're cool too. just saying that i liked those ones also

You like 7 more?! I was getting frustrated with trying to get the halftones right, so I did that. Then with version 11 I made my own brush stroke that was basically halftones, so this version my halftones are all handmade.



It seems like you and I were the only ones that liked the pencil, digsy :(

hm perhaps the reflection should have the same halftone fading as the top? just a thought.

When I decide to sub this, can I change the thumbnail? Or does it get submitted with all the current info?

this is cool, simple, different from what i usually see here. that said, the color scheme on black/white reaaaaally doesn't do it for me. could you humor me & show a couple more t-shirt colors? i think it might help the design "sit" better on a shirt for me!

I messed around with the reflection of the runner, but didn't really get any results I liked. I might just sub it like this, I think I'm happy with it.

Ok, so now it's version 11 vs. version 12. Lemme know which one you like :)

The haftones do make it look better. The only suggestion I could give is to maybe make the runner another color, perhaps red. It kind of gets lost with it being white. Other than that it looks good.

Maybe make the colors up top the color from the last version and the bottom "childlike" colors the brighter ones. Everything is brighter to a child :) Just a suggestion :D

Kat, I messed around with darkening up the top rays, and every time it came out looking blah, I think I'm gonna sub version 12 and see how it goes

I do prefer the original colors to the new ones too.

And how about removing/replacing the scribbled runner? I don't know. . .just give it a shot.

I prefer the colours used in version 11. The CMY colour scheme doesn't really do it for me. The yellow, green and orange in 11 make it feel bright and kinda like morning.

I hate to say this, but i really think the design took a wrong turn. The first version was interesting and lively, whereas this version loses the whole point of the pencils drawing the path.



Maybe you can change the piece for re-submission and make it so that there is a narrator pencil, drawing in the future for the child?
