I don't like how there's white "edges" around my image. I'm VERY new to Illustrator. Does anyone have any tips for me? Thanks for any feedback!

Maybe try some minor wood grain on the match...



P.S. What is your method of getting the match on the shirt... are you doing that part in illustrator? If not that may be the problem

I actually did think about the wood grain...Hmmm...maybe I will re-visit that. Anyone else think that would be good?

And yep, I'm doing it all in Illustrator.

Did you create the vector image and then on a different layer put the t-shirt behind it?

Turn off the stroke outline. (Click on the stroke box and then click on the button with the red line through it an there shouldn't be the white stroke.)

Thanks, Swieringa, I will try that. Sinister, I'm not sure about the layering. I pasted my image onto the Threadless template - does that count as layering? (I'm such a goober when it comes to computer stuff!) :)

I think I FINALLY figured out how to get rid of the white outline. I also added wood grain on the match. Tell me what you think :)

P.S. I also put him on the shirt a little bit bigger this time.

I think it would be kinda neat if you had two matches fighting :D

It doesn't seem like there's enough interest (which kind of surprised me due to a lot of the shirts on this website that have a similar vibe) so I think I may abandon this guy for now and try a new idea.

Much better than the V1, but now added wood grain is somehow too much, I mean too strong. Anyway, I agree that maybe boxing ring in the background would help a lot, also another match to boxing with. Don't give up, it might get out something really nice her. I like the word play in in :)
