These are vectors, yes? How do you get the not-so-perfectly-smooth outlines?

The main part of the design will be central, and the bow will sit neatly under the right breast. Trust me, I'm a doctor.

It's hand inked, schleb and the lines vary in width after vectored from the scan because thats how I drew it - whereas a designer who works exclusively in Illustrator from start to finish will have perfectly consistant lines. To each his own.

Ok, use it. It's time that I retire this image. I have perfected the technique of removing designs from shirt models over the past years.

lol. Like Kojima said, the bow should be removed or at least moved. The concept works without it. The only other thing that bothers me is the white skin. Maybe something a little closer to a skin tone would look better.

Yeah - that'll come in the next bit. See how I painted the skin in 'A Celebration Of Discovery' - it'll be a bit like that using the light brown. Thanks guys :) Bon nuit for now!

Fatheed, just curious, how do you feel about the artwork on your website compared to the stuff you do here? They are so completely different. I'm always surprised that its both the same person. I think your stuff here is all a lot more interesting and creative than those paintings (I know its totally different, but still).

Yeah - to be honest - I was just doing that stuff to sell on eBay and through a local gallery. I was doing it before eBay became completely saturated with that kind of stuff. I just lost interest in it. I'm shutting that website down soon (content, not domain) and starting fresh. Might start that next week actually - as I am studying graphic design I need to focus more on that. Yes - this stuff is much more creative than my painting - but, like I say, it was kind of a means to an end. I will do some more interesting painting at some point in the future! I promise. Now I'm really going to bed. Good night!

Updated version. This is how far I got. Still got little bits to do. Let me know what you think about the unorthadox placement - I think it's quite interesting. Won't update for a while as I'm off to the Artois Tennis, don't you know.

There's an emptyness above the bow. Maybe putting the bow to Robins back or something? The design would look more central and I think this design does need that!

I really don't like the placement of the bow, but otherwise this is looking great.

move the bow either down to the bottom (say on the corner back or bottom edge) or to the right so you read the image left to right-- it's the punchline and should be read Afterwards.

What if the bow on the ground was slightly propped up on the lower bar of the stool? You can't remove the bow without removing the arrows too in my opinion -- which would make Robin Hood look like Peter Pan.

I agree that you should prop the bow up on the stool. It would make the balance look a lot better. This second version is better in tenfold to version one. NICE!

Get rid of the bow and this thing is good to go. Brilliant concept.

hahaha Thank you everyone for all the thoughts. You guys are awesome. The truth is, I did want to prop the bow up against the tree stump to begin with, but I sketched it on the page and it was too far to the right so it was never included in the main illustration. I will revisit it now though and edit to prop the bow against the stump.

On account of it being hand drawn am I right in assuming its raster? Just because you mentioned it being vector elsewhere on this page. Ive worked in photoshop myself since forever and have only really done vector the pen tool way, are you working in photoshop?
