yay! personal preference for sand :) but nice work, how did you do those details on the symbols btw? is it some filter in ps, or manually coloured in? cos it looks really nice.. i need to learn how to do stuff like that haha

it's a clipping mask on adobe illustrator. It's entirely made with adobe illustrator. The characters are hand-drawn, then vectorized (is this the right word?) and adjusted. Lot of work btw. The effect inside the symbol that looks like rust or similar is made in this way: 1.spraypaint in black a white canvas on photoshop (not the airbrush, just the spray). 2.adjust bright+contrast to get a crispy contrast between the black and white. 3:turn it into black and white color mode (monochrome). 4:selection box, then copy the selection. 5:go to adobe illustrator, paste it, and live trace it. 6: change colors as you wish. 7. use the clipping mask tool with a shape youand you will see how it works. Try to search for an online tutorial, it will be much more clear than me :)

yes! the final version is perfect, for me. It's hard to give a preference of background color because you did a pretty great job with 3 different "palettes"...maybe i prefer the number 1, which gives a little rusty/vintage look and cool atsmosphere in general. By the way, this time i don't have nothing to add, that's just really good, really clever, and ready to SUB! ;)
