Be careful what you hunt for...

Not quite sure what this is about but I reaaally enjoy the design!



Help me out with my critique piece? It is almost done!

I was thinking about obsessions and "be careful what you wish for", hence the head.

ah.. too subtle i didnt get it. like the use of textures though, and it has a nice, clean feel. the way he's holding the diamond is a little odd. i like the tai-chi pose.

clever B) the head is just asking for more i think its good

I think for use on a T you should ditch the hard line on the right and fade out the blue color.



Also, I love his hands and feet, but hate his nose. lol

I think his head needs to shaped more like a cut wedding ring diamond and have some lines showing the facets. Nice start!

the concept is good.. but there as some things in the illo that bother me.. such as the head.. i dont know why but i think it's strange, maybe it could be more like a diamond, and the nose could be a little different.. despite that i like this.. the blue part looks good.. and also does the clothing (?) texture

Head, nose, placement...

the black could be darker. i really like the effect you gave the blue. i'd like to see a diffrent color with the same effect on the top half.

I really like the concept, but I think the creme color goes better with the blue. Maybe a light gray?

The cream tee looks better . And I like the glow to be above the hunter. Makes the design more meaningful and gives it better motion.Are you considering some sort of special ink?

Tigerdog, yes, indeed, I am thinking about glow-in-the-dark ink for the "smoke", but I still need another look at the ink options Threadless offers.

I really like this a lot. The only thing I'd suggest (and it may be completely unnecessary) is that the black might get lost on the gray background?

I like the colors of version 2 more. If this guy is hunting diamonds maybe there can be a few more sparkling/glowing diamonds scattered around?

V2 colours, with the glow from V3, and really like the your idea of glow-in-the-dark ink and yeah, maybe there could be a few more diamonds, or half-diamonds (is if there sticking out of the ground)

hmm, yeah i agree with tigerdog about the position of the smoke. perhaps the shine on his head should be on the same side as on the diamond? im not sure if having the cartoon over-sized head works, either.. i'd like to see how he looks with a smaller head, it might be more balanced. nice stuff, though.

definitely working out better than the last versions ... maybe he could be dropping the diamond he has in his hands into a pile of other diamonds ... it just seems like its missing something

I like the cream better too. I also like the glow below him instead of above. I think the placement could be a tad lower if the glow is going to be below. Good work!
