Okay...this is not finished but I don't want to put a lot more into it until I pick some brains so please help!

1. It's five colours but I am unsure if Threadless will print this rendering style. If not, any suggestions?

2. From the point of veiw of the design itself does it work here and is it even worth carrying on with it?

Oh, and she is suppossed to have fairy wings, just haven't got around to that bit yet

Thank you. You know, I never reallised she looked preggers till it was pointed out. Do you think she needs slimming down a tad?

Depends what she's supposed to be...if she's 'Mother Nature' then a bit of plumpness is appropriate. If she's a common or garden fairy then she should be slimmer. Pregnant was the first thing I thought though.



Definately add the wings, otherwise it's just an overweight hippy on a trip. =)

No dear...that's me! LOL! She on the other hand is supposed to be a fairy (about to add wings and will post V2 when done). The plumpness was deliberate and came out of a range of plumpish(and slightly skanky) fairies that all started as a bit of a piss take after several particuly fine glasses (it may have been bottles but who's counting) of red wine with some mates. This one has turned out looking more like your well known gentle fairy types so I think I'm going to have to lose the 'bump' as it makes no sense unless you see this with the rest of the range.

I think it's good, and it's nice to see girls with curves that aren't just on their chest. ;)

Ta - I'm not a fan of ultra skinny fairies for that very reason so I'll only take it down a tad to take the preggy factor out :o)

I think the pregnant feeling comes up, because her legs and arms are much skinnier than her belly, either make her belly a little thinner or her arms a little thicker..

i really like the flower she is standing on! (I guess you will make the rest of leaves like the first one, no?)



and I think the style fits threadless perfectly :)

Wow! Appreciate the comments trindi. Working on her now and yes the leaves will pretty much all look similar. And I'm going to take some of the roundness off her tum and see if that helps.

Yes trindli, that's hit the nail on the head. The proportions are what make her look preggers. Go for a Nigella Lawson look and I'll buy a box of 'em =)

Wings are in and I've flattened the tummy a bit. Is it enough?

Have also just realised this is a slightly darker Tee, that was a mistake but which do you prefer?

Darker tee is better, as is tummy tuck. Perhaps make the wings a bit bigger?

I really like the wings.. and I like the darker shirt, I can not decide which one i would prefer..

can you maybe give us a link with a higher resolution? the face is hard to see here..

The arms are still kinda skinny for her size.



Her hands are also a little too small, unless that's a "fairy" thing, but it just looks a wee bit weird.



You could have the moondust stuff spreading in patterns across the shirt, as well.



All that said, I don't really like fairies and stuff, so I wouldn't personally buy this.

you can get some free webspace like photobucket, flickr or something like this, there you can upload bigger pictures, like you original picture that you are working

Hopefully you can see a bit more detail, which does also bring up my technical question again about whether this rendering style is printable?

The smaller stippling and lines might not print, but it looks like you have less than 5 colors which is fine.

Oh thanks. I'll have to try set something up. In the meantime I hope this makes it a bit clearer.

13strong I like your moondust idea, will have a little play around with that. I appreciate that most blokes wouldn't sport a fairy on their shirt so thanks for taking the time to comment.

thats exactly what I wanted to see :) because in the smaller version her eye looked like there is no pupil inside..



try looking at the already printed tees and then you see what they can print..

http://www.threadless.com/product/839/Deer_Organ for example uses similar dots as you do, so it should be printable I think (but I am not an expert unfortunately)

Really I thought I used all five? Must have counted the T-shirt colour. Derr. Any suggestions for the rendering so it does print?

Flora filled in. Does it need some more to the left? (I could put some basic lines in if anyone is interested in seeing what that would look like).

Also, I think I have another colour to spend, so was wondering if a darker blue on the flora would differentiate it more from the fairy? Your thoughts and suggestions would be most welcome.

a darker blue in the middle of the leaves would maybe help to make them a little bit deeper (more 3D, don't know how to explain that exactly)

I would maybe add some more bubbles up to the shoulder, and some behind her..

with that, I think you can submit it and then you will see if they complain about the small dots.. but I think I have seen subed designs with the same dot size.

Extra flora...thought I would pen it in to see what it looks like. Yes? No?

Oh hey Trindi! Posted this before I saw your comment. Yes am def going to get some darker blue in I think that will make it look much better. Bubbles up to the shoulder....do you mean the moondust or the flowers drapped around her?

Half of what I wrote did not go in....what I was getting at is can you resub if the fault is purely a technical one if that fault is fixed?

Something mucked up badly there! Anyway, fifth colour is on the flora but I think she now looks a little flat. Going to play with it a bit more and see what takes shape. Any helpful advive in the meantime would be great. Also want to try the swirling moondust as suggested by 13strong.

i really like it now! the swirly thing brings some movement

Which one do you prefer? One swirls up to the right and the other down to the left. I can't make up my mind

hm, i would say the one down to the left. Its also nice, that one swirl goes in front of her legs

Hmmm.... swirls are fine. The shading on the leaves is great but the lack thereof on the fairy is incongruous.

My thoughts too NYC. Going to bring the fifth colour into the fairy too I think and 'omph' her up a bit.

Make her face & limbs a little plumper too (i think that may negate the pregnant look as she would be universally plump). I really like the design. It looks great on the darker blue.
