illo looks great :) but im not too sure what the idea is supposed to be. a jumping toaster? looks abit deformed imo.. try straightening out the lines.

The idea is a little visual joke: think of a toaster hiccup, or the toaster jumping instead of the toast popping out...

The halfone is actually a hand-made dot pattern. I'll probably include a full size illustration on the next version.

i like the idea, especially the bit with only one piece of toast. perhaps do something with the cord, like have it 'plug' into the shirt. nice :)

I thought the text could be a nice addition. Obviously needs work, type is a bit clumsy in parts, but I want to know what y'all think before I go on.

No comments? I went on and touched up the type and its placement from the last version.

Haha, a pretty silly character. He looks rather awkward though.. doesn't really look that much like a toaster, but we can at least still tell that's what it is. His little bird feet are funny, but I guess a little odd. The whole character is a little odd, not sure what to suggest. I do like how you've made the 'toasty' a part of the cord though :)



Oh, maybe make the outline around the character thicker. I like putting a thick outline around the border of my characters, that might help :3

Hey! Well, sorry for taking soo long to score your sub, i was traveling.



About the text i answered on my design, i may sound a bit biased, but i study product design, and not graphic or fashion, so i really take some time thinking about how the user will understand and use what i did.



Anyway, loved your design, really. it just seems to me the bread is kinda small, is it supposed to be that way?



I see the drawing and i imagine it's kinda shaking, have you thought about action lines on one side? like "((" or something?



i'm just giving you ideas, but i think it is a finished tee the way it is, maybe could be better, but i'm not eve sure if it can.



if noone comes up with some good idea, sub it plz! looks great. great art btw.

i like how the typo is looking right now..



but you could use more colors in the toaster face..

Yeah, I was actually working on that, trying to make the shadow subtle, as the cable is on the floor.

I added some very subtle shadow to the type, because otherwise it competes for attention with the toaster, and that's not the point. It's a bit more realistic, but I don't know if it makes sense for the design...

I think the text is awesome actually, wouldn't like it as much without, I'm wondering if the shadow below the toaster is a tad to dark, I'm not sure

Hmm.. it's troubling me that the wire seems to just cut off abruptly after the text.. Other than that I'd say it's pretty fine, unless u want to add in some shading on its front :)

The text is great! A definate improvement from ur 1st version. Im just wondeing why the yellow is there maybe use a darker grey so it blends in a bit better.

Steve, atzh, Kit Kit, I went to work with your suggestions, very useful input. Thank you for your comments, and everyone else.



I worked on the yellow, it's supposed to be a little light, and it also contrasts nicely with the blue and makes the toaster pop out more. Added a shadow to the front also. Gave the type a more irregular hand-drawn feel to match the toaster style, made more of an end to the cable, but decided not to use a shadow on it in the end, after trying 100392 variations...
