I was thinking color, but how? Just have each crance filled with different colors, or subtle highlights? Perhaps different coloured outlines? Hmmm....

Maybe have the lines darker in general on the outside ones and lighter on the inside ones. You could also have all the lines darker and put something froo froo behind them.
