I started re-working on of my old subs, which was one of my favorites as well. Let me know what you guys think :) and added some initial suggestions as well on the sketch from a blog I started

I think its great, though I think it was a bit top heavy the first time roun, I think you need to either make the shark a bit bigger, or add more prominent waves/creatures to balance the design out

I like that you added tattoos. Have you thought about giving this hunter some war rings? Maybe the staff of his spear has an indication of what animals he's already hunted and killed?

I can see this design as being one that has a lot of subtle details that tell a story about the hunter.



Perhaps tattoos which have already been suggested, and maybe like tally marks on the spear (counting kills), or other things like that. I can definitely see this being a fun one to wear and have people study. : )

Looking nice, i like the older hunter and his weather face..., the only thing ill say is that the shark looks a little static, I think its because its body is completely straight...maybe make its tail a bit curled or too the side swimming like in the original?

my favourite part of this is how well that dude's feet are rooted right into the shark's skin. i can almost feel it in my feet - and it's slippery.



the only thing i'd point out is that the hawk's head sort of melt's into looking like the lion's chin? i actually don't know what animal that little bit belongs to - but i'm sure this will be automatically clarified once you add in some colour.

At first I didn't see the difference between this one and your first sub of this, but I checked the first one out and now I definately see it. It's got a way better expression in his face.



You just fixed those little things that could've been paid more attention too, but since the first was wicked already nobody mentioned that.



I guess it's hard for you to be chalanged since people just LOVE what you do. Yes, love is with capitals because it's like that and that's the way it is, huh!



Anyways I'll quit my rambling and watch you further develop this baby :D

Oh and I think you should make the bottom part of the shark a bit longer. I mean the part from it's first flipper (the one between his feet) to it's tail. But maybe it should stay like that because of the perspective. Hummm I don't know...

I think the shark is very small in comparisan to the others, but otherwise: NICE! I think you`re right about it being difficult to crit something thats already great, Spieliewielie, but of course everybody can get better and needs input.

I think if you added a little bit more detail to the water, like more spread out, it would help balance it a bit more. Love this! Already way better than the original. :)

As usual, your ability to draw amazes me.

i don't know about this one. love the different heads eating other heads, but the from the guy down to the shark seems to be something completely different, like maybe there are two ideas conflicting here...

then again, you could draw a pile of poop and could make it look good so who knows...

yeah Im adding a lot mroe detail in the water to even out the composition, but wont be able to work on it til next week, damn freelance work!

checked out your older submission. the animals are a big improvement, but the hunter creeps me out a bit. Are you going with more natural colors this time?
