I like versions 3 & 4 and the yellow & black one above, but my fave is the grey with spots of colour above right in the latest version. The versions with solid circles are too simple and geometric, whereas the others are more artistic. Hope that helps! B.

i like the bottom left one the most....looks almost like foliage or something nature related, as opposed to random circular shapes, ya know?

plus that single white circle really makes that design pop.

good job rad.

I don't really understand?

Is it just supposed to be circles or is there something I'm missing?

Yeah I know they don't print many "design" t-shirts. So to explain what this is doing.

Number one - it is to see how many people actually can give a constructive comment. I have given out tons and tons and usually people take them and make the simple changes to improve their design.

Number two - It is to see how many different opinions you get off of several provided examples that are similar but vary slightly.

Number three - the designs are an exercise in the diagraming of successful t-shirt layout designs on a shirt in a very simplified manner. The fact that it is simple but highlights very specific areas in massing, very simple subtle color changes and its distribution across the shirt is the entire concept. A good design should not have to be a picture of "something". It should say something yes. Is a t-shirt design just an illustration? Most of the time yes. But why can't it go beyond a hand/computer drawing that is a picture of something that we all know? I don't think it always has to.

There are places where you put images on the front of a shirt. Right in the center. Bottom corners. Straight up and down. Asymetrically. All the pictures people draw do that. This critique area has people that only looks at how funny a picture is or how well a picture is drawn. Why can't it go beyond that? Why can't a shirt take the universal ideas behind "every" t-shirt design and look at it's basics - the very simple idea of placement, color, and layout. That is all this is doing. Just circles? Way more than that. Look at where the different colors are. Look at where it changes. Look at how it moves across the shirt. That is all.

Much more than a funny picture. A cliche'. A good hand drawing. It is a design that talks about every single t-shirt design without the ornamental features. Its the basic idea behind all shirts - that is what this is about.

If it sucks or you don't get it....thats fine. Everyone has a different opinion as you can see from the choices people have picked above. That is what this is about. Thanks all for your comments.

Just trying to get people to look at shirts in a different way. Most people don't really look at a shirt. They go ...Is it funny? No..it sucks. Is it a good hand illustration? Yes or no. Is it sitting on the shirt in the right place? Yes or no.

This shirt is not funny.

It is not a awesomely detailed hand drawing.

It does look at colors...It looks at how it sits on the shirt and how it sits on the body when someone is wearing it.

It does look at layout.

It does look at focal points.

As all successful t-shirts at their very basic elements do.

Thanks all.

I like 3, 5 and 6. The combinations of pattern, texture and color work well on those three.

I like the top left the best. I doubt that threaless prints just a design like that but if I saw it in a store, I'd probably buy that one :)

Please Critique mine

Hmmm - I get your point... but if something isn't funny or well drawn then it still has to have a reason for people to like it? It has to be aesthetically pleasing in some way... or just plain fashionable which doesn't seem to have to be aesthetically pleasing! I like your idea but I think you could do better with the aesthetically pleasing bit. It feels like an unbalanced design... your green one is the best in terms of balance... not too bottom heavy but I find the multiple dots on top of each other hard on my 39.13 yo eyes. I like the simplicity of the circles. I also think the gap you have in the grey simple circle one helps in that it provides some relief. Cheers!

Nicole here...I actually like the first one most. My personal style is more for basic and simple (not really the elaborate stuff I draw). I like how the circles are better defined and layer, rather than the busy haze the others create. And nothing is more basic than gradient greys. And I like how it created a "falling/dripping" effect. #1 definitely.

honestly I wouldn't buy any of them. Not they're bad designs by anymeans... but I'm just not into pattern designs. I prefer a theme. If in anyway you could add a small amount of story, I'd be interested

The layout & shape choice are weird...like a wife beater tank made out of chainmail gone wrong.
