Any type of criticism for this design is welcomed, constructed or destructive. Please be very candid. Also, if you guys can throw some suggestions as to a title for this design, I would appreciate it a lot.

Title idea: Beaten Bloody



Constructive: Show a corner post, I think it would set the scene a little better if you could tell from the image that it's an arena, not just three floating lines (even though the implication is there)

Also I LOVE the blood splatter, it looks great



Destructive (kind of): The fighters look squished horizontally, their edges are very rough (I know it's a lot of work, but perhaps trace them in Illustrator), and the area where the lines are cut off simply look sloppy.

Hmm I can see what your saying there.... Unfortunately I don't have Illustrator. Is there any recommendations to remedy my outline problems through Photoshop?

For the outlines you might be able to work with paths... unfortunately I have very little experience with paths in PS, so I would recommend finding a good tutorial, but that MIGHT be a way to fix it.

The ropes of the arena can be fixed by just having them blur out. I think it would look appropriate since you already have some gray smeared into the fighters. The fact that it's going over the blood splatter will make it not so harsh.

alot of the time t-shirts only get a quick glance, and right now it can take a good minute of staring at it to figure it out. Maybe making the two fighters different colors could help. I feel like a good stencil can be read immediately but reveals further details on closer inspection.

also, forgot to mention, I need some advice.

What do you have in mind for placement? I take it the tee is black? I think it just needs a little bit of cleaning up, the bottom part is a bit messy, make the legs more clean is what I´m trying to say :-)

the blood stains look great and i can imagine then all over the front of the tee. It took me a while to figure out one fighter was smashing his opponent's head though. Maybe you should consider putting a more detailed fight scene?

this will also probably the solution I will use with the abrupt ending of the ropes. As far as placement goes it will be placed bottom right corner of the shirt (your right, in terms of direction, if you were looking at the shirt).

a healthy level of aggression

or just "aggression"



I like the composition and the look of it overall. I think the figures could use something more to make them pop out. Maybe crisper edges. I don't love the idea of adding paths around the shapes, but that may help too.

I'd try putting a little more detail into the fighters.

the splatter is grand but i think the fighters do need to be clearer, it took me a minute to work out what was looking at, if you have photoshop you can trace images in that, i used to do all my stuff that way, for example - http://www.imnotadot.com/banana.html it's easy but time consuming

Ok so I put more levels on the fighters to show conture. I also tried to fix the abrupt ending of the ropes by making it fade to a point instead of a flat ending. Hmm still having trouble with the title though, but I do like the suggestions though. Headshot, and Healthy Lvl of Aggression (or aggression) are my favorite. Is it any better now?

its okay but the grainy "texture" just looks like you resized some image that you experimented with modifiying to get the grey cutout. Maybe you should go over them with a path so that its not so choppy

The cut out does look a little choppy. Smoother line will make it look better. Also, the dark greys inside the cutout should probably imply shadows a little better. I like the name Healthy Lvl of Aggression for it.

A possible title could be: Freeze Frame or possible Contender?

Hopefully the choppy outline problem was fixed in this version. If it is still a problem please let me know. One of my main concerns is if this kind of shirt appeals to the audience here. Please give me some feed back.

Hmm ok my comments didn't show up.... I added color and fixed up the shading to hopefully keep add detail to differentiate between the figures (making the image any sharper will lead to choppy look).

The tentative title is Red, Black, and Blue

I'm really starting to like it, the detail on the fighters is really coming through and showing them nicely, I still love the blood splatter, and you've made the cut-off of the lines more smooth, which is great. I still have to say though, that I'm partial to adding a corner post, but perhaps it would put too much.

The blood splatter is pretty epic. but the fighters leave me feeling a little 'muddied" or underwater... its got a nice stencil feel to it.. maybe a bit sharper.

Yeah placement will be bottome left on shirt (or bottom right if you are looking at the shirt).
