I have no idea what that means.

Not sure how I feel about the head as the genie head bit, but a well executed lamp and stylized genie could make for a good design.

Well, that's kind of the whole concept. I'm not usually one for gimmicky designs but my usual stuff generally bombs here.

There is a lot of potential here. Great concept. I think going in a fun cartoony direction is the way to go. You just have to figure out how much you want it to look like those oversized man with muscles or girl in a bikini shirts. Great start.

the smoke of the genie could use a bit more flare into it, right like smoke like effect.



I think the linework also need a lot of touching up as well as the lamp, as far as the concept is sorta cool, just needs work :)

Like I said, it's very rough - literally a one minute job to show the concept/placement!

Maybe you were going to change this already and just haven't gotten around to it but I wouldn't use a specific skin tone color for the genie as you are now. . . I'm thinking it might look cool if you did the whole genie as just one ink in like black or dull blue or something and had the lamp red maybe I dunno

Mm, good concept, but the illustration needs work. And the genie should totally be blue!

this is a great start--you should make the genie more smoke-like as he's coming out of the lamp. also, i don't like your color scheme, orange, red-orange, and tan just don't work for me (but maybe it's just me?). personally, i would go for a gold foil on the lamp and some kind of strange toxic mint-green for the genie and do everything else (belt, arm cuffs, linework) in black. good luck with it. definitely pursue it--it's a great idea.

I'd just say you could develop a lighter, curvy, smoky shape for the bottom part of the geenie!

You should definitely go with it. I dont like the pose the genie does with his arms. The person looks like he has 4 arms. Personaly, I find It a bit disturbin, but thats just me. Perhaps you could make the arms fit the actual arms of the person wearing it?
