awesome!! i love the style. i think i'm kind of torn about the green border around everything, though. i'm guessing you did that to define them from the background more, but it seems to really flatten the image, whereas it's obvious there's suggested depth. perhaps they could be grounded to something a bit more? perhaps add some subtle black shadows under everything?
I would have said sub the fuck out of this thing, but after reading her ideas, I'd love to see it without the lines now, and the shadows!!! OOOOooooh, that could really make this thing badass.
yeah, sonmi, I wanted to use the shirt color for the linework, however some shapes get lost, like the lead in the pencil would be non-existant if I got rid of the outline. Any suggestions on fixing that? I will definitely add some shadows! thanks again!
yeah i noticed that some of those would get lost in the background; in which case i think those particular outlines could stay! but perhaps there's even another solution; perhaps changing the color of the outline to some sort of neutral orangish brown?
oh, no! i meant that you can either get rid of the blue outlines around the outside of the figures, except for the areas where it's necessary, like the tip of the pencil (and keeping the ink lines the shirt color)
or you can just change the outline color from blue to orangish-brown, while still keeping the line work the shirt color.
I like it, I think the placement on the shirt will make or break it though. It's obviously a dead center shirt design, and I know you know that, unless I'm overstepping my bounds and you wanted this upside down on the back...?
it's very cool but I agree with papaprime only 1/2 way. I think the placement will make or break it for me. But I really hate dead center placement that ends up sitting above my chest.
