I'm not sure heart designs would do well. But I do like the concept, I haven't seen this one done before. But it probably has been done.

Heart designs are getting pretty played out so I don't know if I would keep going with this. But if you do, I would take off one of the two hands on the left.

I agree with TheFuge taking out one of the two hand on the left would make is look better. What color shirt would you put it on?

I disagree with taking a hand off on the left. i like how it looks like somebody is pulling with both hands. It adds to the stress. make the top hand a little bigger and get rid of the fingernails or make them a better color at least.

I was thinking the same about the top hand. I like the two hands on the left, gives it some diversity. I'll work on the fingernails, and what color do you guys think i should do it on. I was thinking black, gray or white...? Any other comments too?

hmm this is acctually pretty good, but i just dont know what it looks like on placement and if theres a certain placement like, right on the heart of the t-shirt, i thoughk your gonna have to increas the arms, well...your gonna have to draw the arms XD and also i think it would need alittle bit of a shading.

i like the idea. not sure if it's been done before or not. one suggestion i would make would be to make it look a little more heart shaped. I thought it was a heart at first, but not 100%, and i think if you just spelled it out a little more clearly it would be more appealling. nice work-- good luck!

Not compelling enough as-is with just hands. If you had entire characters that looked like they were clinging to the shirt it would be pretty cool.

It's a very nice idea, but I don't understood very well the shape of the heart...try to modify it adding more arms.

The concept is good, but i think that you can do it more... uhm... "vistoso" (sorry i don't know which is the word in English). "cute" may have a similar meaning.

Ha, I like it! I think the creases on the stretchy-thing (is it rubber?) could be a deep-red, maroon to blend in better. The fingernails on the hands seem odd to me, it might be the color. Definitely a cool concept, and I think you should take it further. the top-left hand is pulling the thing too far, too, it's distorting the heart.

this would look cool on red so it blended into the tee

Maybe add a slight tear to the heart, make it seem that it is under more stress.

It would be good if the arms went further. I'd like them to go all the way to the seams of the shirt, or edge of the print. (They can be printed like that, right?)

yeah, i had intended to expand the arms, this was just my outline.

OKay, fixed the nails (i think) made the top left hand bigger, tried it on black, and i think i'm gonna do the hands, sorta cutting off into the shirt? yes, no, maybe so? I tried it on red, that's a no go. Put it on black in the bottom, where you can see the two placement options. Also, added a tear at the center of the heart.

What if instead of hands, it was weird little creatures representing Jealousy, Mistrust, Betrayal, Anger, Fear, etc? Just something about "just hands" that's bugging me.



Also, I'd go with the smaller pocket design but make it a bit bigger and a lot lower off the shoulder.

I like it, but unlike Steelplate, I prefer it a lot centered and big. I think it's submit-able. :)

I think adding some shading to the hands and the folds(if thats the right word) on the heart, and the hands should be shaded as if the light was coming from one main point

I also agree with steelplate with moving it down, i think that it would look good a bit more center too.

I like the simplicity of the hands....and think it should be a little bigger and directly over the heart, not so much on the shoulder

Where the heart is breaking doesn't feel like a rip the way the rest of it is behaving like cloth. Regardless I think it works as an image. I don't need for it to be over the wearer's heart - centered is fine - though I would make it slightly smaller.

hmm.... it's looking pretty good... maybe adding stitches to where its tearing because it looks so much like cloth. i definitely think it needs something tho. . .

I think the black shadows on the heart stand out too much, maybe make them a dark red

I like it on black, but it feels like there's something missing...

i liek the effects and the drawing how ever,, its too hard for allllll pll to know oh thats a hear tearing apart ! hmm so,, would maybe,, add some blood?

I think it doesn't feel much like a heart with the pulling. I also have to agree about the shadows being too dark.



Reflection of a Saint

I like the placement on the grey shirt, and the overall concept. I'm like everyone else, I think something is missing... put I can't for the life of me place my finger on it. Maybe if you can add more action to it, maybe show more stress on the heart where the hands are grabbing it make it look like they are really tearing at it.

hmmm... hmm hmm hmmmm. I have an idea, but we'll see where it goes. thank you all, i'll work on it this weekend, maybe tonight, and try to pull something together, it may make it worse, maybe better. anybody have an idea of what that "umph" or "aww" or "pizzazzz" factor is?

I prefer this on the black. I also agree with goodshite who says it feels like something's missing. Unfortunately can't put my finger on what.

what do you guys think of a belt print, with a heart shape coming from the design? yes? no? or maybe incorporating "pulled in different directions" into the design? i need some sorta help figuring out what the "umph" factor is!

Hey, i thought of the "blood" idea, but instead went with paint? yes or no or maybe so?

I like the addition of the black, red and white. But I would say turn it down a few notches.

The color is nice, but I agree with past-tense-of-draw, tone it down a bit. Fewer blood/paint splotches, et cetera.

Well... i've gone back to normal.. still need suggestions on what the "X" factor needs to be. i added a third placement. oh, and i've made the stretch lines a dark red instead of black. i need some help, please, anything.

Hmm...this design is cool! It's probably too advanced now to change much, but maybe you could make the hands different "genders", like one with slender fingers, nail polish, or something, so that it's more gender-friendly to everyone? I like placement two and three :)

i'd go for placement 1...just move it a bit higher on the shirt.

Great concept! I do like placement 2 the best but you could also move placement 1 up a little. Still missing something...maybe you could make the tear look more like it's torn and less like it's cracked.

Great illustration! Very detailed - I'd say placement #1 as well, a bit higher as was said earlier.

placement 2 does indeed look better. i wonder what whould happen if you were to thicken the lines to give the art more impact? maybe you tried that already. i would like it better if it were bolder. the concept is really good!

I think your best bet would be to move on to a new idea, this was your first sub don't let the score get you down. Just start brainstorming on new concepts and go from there.
