That is pretty darn poppin' fresh. Great concept. I like the illustration, though the arms look a tad. . . shriveled. I get that the doors are casting a shadow, but maybe just make that part a darker green? Or else just make them a little bit thicker? I don't know.
I completely understand what you're saying, but I want to see if more people perceive the arms the same way that you do, as I can't get beyond noticing that the black area between the arm and the torso is just shadow.
I feel like I have to strain to see it the other way around. If enough people are seeing the same thing you are, I'll definitely add another shade to make that area more readable.
I think its good that the teddy isn't robotic, I like the fact it's something cuddly inside a huge robot that's not so cuddly lol
great light effects btw, though I agree with Leafless that the arms look abit odd with the dark areas done using the tee colour, it would look better with another shade of green in there I think
comments on my critique would be appreciated, thanks
nice idea for the flash interface, though I just found a problem, if you put the cursor on his elbow you get some weird effects, I don't know how to fix that, I've only just started learning some flash, how did you get the images to blur on rollover?
I just made 2 photoshop images, one with the other object blurred. Then made one of the images a graphic in flash and set the alpha to zero with a tween to the alpha at 100 so the focus effect works. Then the alpha from 100 to zero to reverse the effect.
I'll have to mess with the overlap areas a little more to make sure no one gets confused by a constant shifting focus.
i enjoy the concept and it looks very good. Stylistically i have seen this before. but it is a good style. I enjoy the coloring though and your use of light. if you have a chance check out mine, thanks
Looking good, but I'd like to see a little more linework on the edges between shades to make it look hairier. You have that going to some extent on the chin.
