Really cool! I like the complexity of the background shapes you've managed to create just with type, though I agree you could maybe make a more interesting body, with like a leather jacket and metal spikes etc

I'm not a huge fan of the neon colours, but I think you've used the punctuation marks very well. Try and give him a less skittle-like body.

I have an idea of where the body shape is coming from and I wouldn't compromise on the shape necessarily. Maybe adding the suggestion of arms on the side might help, but if not I think it's better left simple. Awesome idea and design!

This should win for joy of text. I didn't notice at first, but after a quick glance over, it was obvious. His body kinda reminds me of a bowling pin though, no form. If that gets a little work, it'll be a for-sure winner.

yep body seems needs some work, most of the piece is very interesting but the body is flat and does take most of your attention.

Hey all, I took your advice and gave him a bad-ass leather jacket with punky spikes and stuff.

Also pimped up the presentation and added a color variation.



I feel it's ready for sub, what do you say?

I love it, in my typography class i had a project to do a face out of just letters and numbers, so this one hits close to home!

I don't think it would fit the JOT competition. However, I reckon its definitely worth submitting normally. Go for it.

This is working really well. I think that, to help the slower viewers out there (like me), you should maybe make a couple question marks clearly discernible in his shadow/vinet. they will clue us in to discover all the cool uses of punctuation in the figure.

Yea the jacket was a good addition for sure. I like it so far but if I were you, I'd go a little crazier with it.... maybe add some grungy paint runs and maybe make the green neon. Maybe offset the whole thing to the lower right or something.

the darker one with the pink is the best ( i can't tell if the shirt's brown or black) go ahead and submit!

it certainly does fit JOT... cool collection. I think it might be *too* well crafted that there's great difficulty in seeing punctuation bits - a bit too many of them too, seems almost "spammed"
