I'm working on shadows to ground everything. And I was also thinking about the title TYPEometry.

rasmus1 on Dec 18 '08
It's a really cool idea, but you could probably shrink them and place them in some better way. Maybe on a white t-shirt and then have them all on a row?
Also I'd probably tone down the shade on Sphere, cylinder and cone, to make them look more like pyramid and cube. As said, nice work. |

One Eyed Willy on Dec 19 '08
Don't mind the lame flash I'm learning.
One Eyed Willy on Dec 19 '08
So what do you think of the colors and placement. Center or to the side.
StevenTu on Dec 19 '08
Goodness no, it's now too convoluted. And the gradient is KILLER. Go back to the simpler stuff...
To have four elements so seperate makes it quite messy. crit mine! Cubistest bot Thanks! |

... Grey shadow on a black shirt?
One Eyed Willy on Dec 19 '08
Hmm prob. right about the shadows on the black.
super_dustin on Dec 19 '08
I agree, go much simpler - the gradients aren't working at this point.
and maybe watch all the angles too, make sure they all make sense visually together. I've actually got a similar idea with text as well with my last design: http://www.threadless.com/critique/33383/Moustaches_are_next_to_godliness_too critique appreciated! thanks :) |

Ok, so I'm having some problems deciding on an organization. Which of these do you guys like or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also do you think the title "TYPEometry sounds better.

Down one side wins.

sunnypants on Dec 20 '08
yeah, i like the one running down the side too.

KBShakedown on Dec 20 '08
Cube could use a small redesign. I keep reading the letters BE as 38 since they are upside down.
nintend0 on Dec 20 '08
yeah definatly down one side :P

One Eyed Willy on Dec 21 '08
So I decided to change the title to TYPEometry. I'm hoping this will be the final sub for the JOT. Please post comments to let me know if any thing should be changed.

Ryder Revolution on Dec 21 '08
the cube is the only one that works
Larlar on Dec 21 '08
I also can't believe everyone said "down the side." That is by far the least aesthetic layout of all the ones you presented.
Ryder Revolution on Dec 21 '08
agreed

Yeah, I don't like it down the side, either. I think it's best all bunched up like a buncha' blocks.
skinnyeddy on Dec 21 '08
I agree with Ryder Revolution, the cube is the only one that 'works'. If I were you I'd scrap the others and enlarge the cube.Cool, but it needs work
Check out my Design, thanks |
One Eyed Willy on Dec 21 '08
but i fear that if I just used the cube it woud then be too simple.
block33 on Dec 21 '08
i like the cube and the cone
Mr. Raab on Dec 21 '08
maybe just use the cube as others have said, but make it a rubix cube, and it spells out cube with the colors, that might look nice
Krimson on Dec 21 '08
Keep working on it man. The cube works, see if you can create more forms in a way more similar to that. Keep sketching and see what you can do. It has potential.
Perhaps check out some of my slogans, and vote on any you like. :) |

GREAT!

One Eyed Willy on Dec 22 '08
Reworked the sphere and cone, also reworked the background
skinnyeddy on Dec 22 '08
better, but the Sphere, cone and cylinder don't seem to fit with the cube and pyramid...(maybe its just me).
Thinking about it, the cube on its own might be a bit too simple. It might still be worth trying though. Made for Sharing Solar Spatter Emotee |

The don't submits strike again, with no explanation.

doctor_recommended on Dec 22 '08
I feel your pain, i hate when people do that! lol, I like the cube and pyramid the best but the shirt just seems awkward... my fav. is version 4.. the #3 box looks the best, maybe if you tried that and added a background to give the shirt a bit more story

Okay, this is interesting. It feels a little bland though, sorry. Hmm.. Why not spice it up by putting the geometric shapes all over the shirt? (or the back?!)

MEKAZOO on Dec 23 '08
i am ok with cylınder and cube. but the rest no.
