Yeah, I'll try making the heart a little bigger. It will make 'fly' a little easier to read.

I dont think the shadow should be red, at first glance i thought it was a pool of blood, anyone else get that? i wonder if that says something about my mental health

Maybe if I change the shadow and the clouds to a more orange/red color it won't so much like blood.

A shadow is usually dark, black, dark grey... it doesn't look right in red.

i agree I'd make the shadow grey, and lose the text, it doesn't really convey what you're trying to say. You could visualize the penguin wishing to fly much better with some imaginary wings behind it or something

i agree with the others about the shadow colour not working. I also think you could develop the penguin's pose a lot more. He is not doing much to express his yearning for flight right now.

I think this could be great with some re-working.

ok the penguin wants to fly....how bout a more humorous approach.... he is actually a pilot of a plane...but he still envies the birds that fly!

I like the concept, but I don't know if you really need that heart, just like people don't see the need for the drips in Listen To Your Heart... I think pople would get it even without the heart. Also, maybe add the penguin's tuxedo.

i feel so sorry for the poor penguin! the clouds and the birds are greatly improved from V1 and look great. The penguin seems a little large for the shirt though and i find the shadow really distracting.

yes the shadow's a bit distracting, maybe it needs to be a lot more subdued. Maybe make it so the birds *took* the heart? Cos as it is, the concept isn't that... new.

The shadow is a bit distracting, and the longer you look at it, the more you notice that it doesn't meet the feet, etc. I think that the "pose" of the first couple of penguins is the best, arms down, looking forlorn. It's hard to tell what he's doing with the one up. Is he shaking his fist at those uppity flying kids these days? You might also want to flatten the feet out a tiny bit so that he's actually standing, not floating.



I'm not a big fan of shirts that have two parts, generally. But this isn't bad. You could almost get ride of the penguin altogether and just have the birds, clouds and heart. Your concept vanishes then, but who cares? People wear shirts and things that look nice, so getting hung up on concept doesn't help anyone. Just an idea, since that corner is the best part of the design.

Okay, went back to the original arm position, fixed the feet, gave him a tail and subdued the shadow.

I don't really want to change it anymore, because I don't want to get too far away from my original idea.

I like it a lot now and I'm just wondering if I should keep or lose the shadow. Other than that, I think its about read to submit.

Looks good. I would get rid of the shadow. I don't think it's neccessary, and it might be a distraction from the bigger idea you're trying to convey.

the colours may not me my fancy but the motive is very pretty.

The heart in the sky needs some work on the bottom? oh, and the heart looks sorta too orange.

i know the point at the bottom is a tail but it look really wierd. I also think he should stand on something instead of just floating around. Perhaps an iceberg?

yeah, that'll help it a lot, and the heart still looks kinda funky. top left is flat, and the bottom isn't a point.

Oh, that's cute. But my first thought was that the heart in the sky was the sun. What if you took the heart out of the sky, and in the penguin you made him have a cracked (broken) heart?

I agree with the iceberg placement idea. Like maybe just an outline or something subtle.

The heart in the sky is the same shape as the hole in his body.

I don't want to change the heart because I don't want it to be a perfect heart shape, that would look too prefab.

Also, I think adding an iceberg might distract from the overall like the shadow did.

i don't add the iceburg, just an outline, not a lot. and yeah, i didn't even realize, but lose the clouds, see what it looks like.

well, if you have just a faint outline, and you lose the clouds, then there will be virtually no reference. Don't do that.

The grey clashes heavily with the red, so even if u keep it you should change the colours. The heart's waaay too big... it doesn't seem like it's in the distance like it should.



And erm, the concept itself is too depro, nor is there really any humour in it, so I'm not sure if it's threadless material.

Nice, I like it. My suggestion would be to smooth out the lines, for example on the tail and the feet, they're a little chunky.

you shouldn't do too much on this. It is a clean design that looks simple but comes across very strong. Maybe make the penguin a little smaller,not too much otherwise you are going to lose the Iconic feel of the animal.
