the dark brown on the arms and the far leg kind of bothers me.... i'd like to see a little more modeling on those parts instead of just flat colors. and maybe incorporate some of the dark green into the canopy of the tree. it would make it pop more

WOW! I had this same idea--but never did anything with it (well, not totally the same). Now I don't have to :)



Looks good as is if you want to add some birds flying out of the tree or something where some of the leaves are? That might complicate it though...



I think the tree's right arm could be fatter and the tree should have more two toning since the leaves are clearly one color but the tree as a whole is shades lighter.



Good though, i'd buy it!

It definitely needs loads of work, and I'm gonna have the next edit with all of your suggestions.

I think you have to work a little on the colors: I don't like the dark brown on the main tree, I agree you should try to model more.

And I would work expecially on the tree leaves, using both the greens for making a bigger green part.

This is a great idea, and the tree is looking much better in this version! I think it would be great if you could do something more to show the movement of the bicycle, to really make it seem like he is speeding away in fear. :)

I really love they way the tree is illustrated...the concept is fab too...the only thing I would play around with if this was my design is the size relationship between the hill of terror and the tree....cause right now it seems a tiny bit off...jmho

fix up the wheels on the tires a bit, and maybe give the tree a mouth to complete its face. The colors work awesome. More smoke and more leaves could always help

i think the other leg should be the same color as the front one... it looks darker, and it should be the same color as the trunk...

Just a heads up. There's a design very similar to this that scored pretty high a short time ago. The tree wasn't riding away from pollution, it was riding away from winter. Just to let you know.
