btw Katieroz, doesn't it seems a little odd that the tree is dwarfing the brontosaurus?

not really. the brontosaurus also has a pocket.

i don't understand - the rabbit with the top hat and pocket watch has been done before. but are you leading me to believe that there has NEVER, EVER been anything on this site having to do with a dino and a monocle?

I like each of the main elements as their own tee--a tree tempting someone, or a very dignified dino...They could each be their own shirt.

I love dinos! I'd like this better if the black spot on the left side of the dino was removed--is that his eye, his nose...? It'd be cuter with it just removed entirely.



I would also rather see a different color tee, but eh.

i like it very much. i like it so much it makes my mouth smile.

I think the black eye looks too much like a nose out there. Maybe move it closer to the other eye. Other than that, I like it. Especially the placement on the shirt.

I edited the eye and some vector stuff. Suggestions?

i think the eye gives it the 3rd dimension and is necessary. Some ppl saw it as a nose bc it was the only object in the piece that had that 3rd dimension. I would suggest keeping the eye and working on the hat. Add one of those white bands around the base of it to make the brim appear 3d. maybe that will help pull it off the shirt a bit.

or also - how about adding in the inside of his mouth to imply that his/her head is turned a bit. just a small curved path in a darker green could go a long way...

i think this is the coolest monoclesaurus i ever did see. he seems nice.

Something about the eye bothers me though. I really like the way the tree branch is shaped into a hand but I don't really like the fruit or.. whatever that is. It could be something cooler... um like ...sooomething. :D



None the less it's very cool i'd $5 it. :D Maybe different shirt colors.

Put the eye back in, added a band on the hat and some dinosaur cheek...

I only just realised that was an eye, not a nose. Not that dinosaurs have noses.



Love how the tree dangling the 'fruit' there almost devilishly.

Maybe add a waxed moustache to prove that it's not a nose over there

I don't like the fact that the tree dwarfs the dinosaur -- or that the tree is luring/feeding the dinosaur. It takes away the main focus away from the dinosaur.

LOVE the moustache! maybe if you can see the eye through the monocle people won't get so confused and think the other one is a nose? Or would that look weird?

If his front legs have shadow, so should his back legs. Also, would a nonoclesaurus have a black eye? Or a white eye with a black pupil? That could help sort out the nose/eye problem. But it could also look weird.

get rid of the shadowsor whatever it is on the tree,

i like the v3 better, but the moustache is great... use v3 tree and the v4 monoclewathever...

I think you should keep the tree on the left that overlaps the shirt image or else it might feel a little unbalanced.

Either lose the black eye, because you don't see the other one, or put a faint one in the monicle, or make the black one read more as an eye.

why is it being tempted by a tree?



I agree with the obove comment that both images are strong enough apart, and really don't relate to each other.

just because, really. the 'saurus needed a background element, something to make it look neat on the shirt. i went for trippy tree tempting him with broccoli. brontosauruses ate trees, broccoli looks like tiny trees.

i think you should give him like 7 eyes to clear up the nose confusion. also, he may need 'majesty' with that shiny new moustache

thoughts on the eye and shading? i've ruled out having an eye in the monocle, it consistently looks weird.

Liking the changes you've made. I'd buy this :)

I really love how the tree has "hands". This version is most definitely better. I'd wear it.

I would like it if the monocle glass had a tint to it, although I understand if this is impossible with the current set of colours.



I would buy it, but I still think some people might think the eye is a nose. I have no idea how to rectify this though :(

I like the fact that the tree has hands and is luring the dino. But what if the tree was luring from one side and trying to attack the dino from behind??

Just an idea

The dino looks great. The tree looks great. I'm just not liking the connection. I understand it needs a background, why not put it in something hoytie-toytie like a tea shop or a bank or something.

And the tree is awesome, I love that it's tempting something, but why? You could have the tree tempting something to it's demise like into a trap or hole or something??? I don't know.

You have two jokes to this shirt, 1. Making a dinosaur into a high-society cosmopolitan tight-ass. -very funny. 2. You have a tree reaching over to tempt or lure something, funny personification. -very funny.

The Dinosaur is done and looks great, monoclesaurus is the joke, you don't NEED anything else, it stands on its own.

The tree is on to something as a seperate idea, I would go to from that angle, instead of jamming two good ideas together, I think you have the workings for two great ideas.

Regardless, the dino looks great, reads great. I just think you could get two great shirts, and they would both sell.

I think jake otto design is missing the pure absurdist nature of this design.
