please tell me what you think. My main concerns are that the halftone would be too small for print, and that it may not be clear enough what the halftone image is of.

It's an interesting abstract image, but you need to sort out the music box - it's too dark, and even if it wasn't, it wouldn't be obvious what it is from that angle.
