If you're a vector guy (like me :D) use just a picture as background example and work with some special pentool styles above the picture. Use drips & paint splatter-ish effects and you'll get immediatly a very strong image.

very cool idea, I pretty much agree with everyone else on the drips... it would look better with more realistic drips... and a few drips coming down the cone as well
Draw the drips & spatters of the cone with the pentool, not the brushes.. Maybe make it a bit more "cartoon"-ish. This is to aggressive & dirty, while the start was pretty clean but undetailled..
the way i see it is that grunge USED to be hip... now it looks dated... much like any on going trend... you gotta make it so that it stands the test of time
I like the changes to the cone, but not the white splatters in the background. I would like to see the RGB colors look more ice cream scoop shaped instead of smooth circles.
