This is my design concept for the REDSHIRT contest going on through the blogs. Red or Yellow shirt options. I think this could work on a red Onesie as well.

Wow nicely done... would like to see the back design too! The license plate looks a bit too photorealistic compared to the rest of the design.

Rock & Roll in a funny way!

It's nicely done, but looks a bit like kid's pajama's for me.

Like cMikey said - maybe something for the ThreadKids range?

But Joe looks stylin in it up there in the preview.

It is supposed to be fun and playful so if it comes off as a kids shirt then Fine I'm ok with that.

I think it works for all ages in the same way that this design does:

id definately like to see what the back of this looks like. a shirt like this would have to have a complimentary back design to really pull it off.

I don't know if it really needs a back design. I'm not usually a fan of the "hey it's the back of the front" concepts. Like you see the front of a person on the front and the back of that person on the back. I'm not picturing putting a Trunk and taillights on the back of this design.

Looks really good, you should rework the head lights and thats about it.

it's good in my book--i can see my little nephew wearing this. you should do a VW beetle version(or rabbit), i think that will be even better.!

I say, fix the headlights. They look like they're hard to render, so you kinda tried to fudge it. Maybe go for the projector/HID headlight look?

They look like eyelashes. i agree go for the LED look, maybe put a light grid pattern over them, lightin them up.

^what funky said. fix the headlights and sub away. i wouldn't wear it but it's a clever design and would make for a great kids tee.

Ok I'll looking into fixing those headlights. Hopefully I can think of a good solution to them.

Is this printable as you have it? The black would surely be belt-printed, and the silver and dark red of the headlight/eyes being on the side seams might not be possible?

I would assume if they can print this then could print mine. It would just take some effort. Being a 3 color job I could see that being a benefit in comparison to a 7 color with full bleed.

Ok I did something different for the Headlights. I removed the Burgundy print color and replaced it with cross hatching black lines. Then I did a demo for the Kids and Onesie versions.

very nice. i think its ready to be submitted.

there arfe a few things on the presentation I see that I need to fix already. Like a stray line on the onesie arm.

Fixed that stray line on the onesie sleeve.

The design is quite strong, the registration plate just sticks out far too much, it doesn't match the car colours at all really. Again, think it's more of a T-Shirt for kids, but nothing wrong with that!

I'm not sure what you mean but the plate "doesn't match the car colors at all", I have never seen a plate "match" a car before in real life so I don't see way it would here. I do agree that it stands out from the rest of the design if that's what you meant. As a plate shouldn't it stand out like the ones in real life? Thanks for calling it a strong design.

I removed some of the lines that overlapped the sleeves to make it a little easier to print.

I think I'll push this version through to the running.

it doesnt really look like a car.... thats just my opinion though.

Haha - I like the banner - nice idea.

I just hate getting those comments about submitting it already when I already have. I think this needs to be one of those things that Threadless fixes to the site. Adding a version right after it has been submitted with a watermark over it saying that it has been submitted.

DECLINED

Redesigned the top to make it printable. So I lost the wipers and the tinted black windshield.

It is nicely executed but for me the shape is more evocative of a VW Beetle than a Ferrari.



It's kind of round and friendly which contributes to the overall feeling that it would make a good kids tee, I guess.

I think I'm slowly getting sick of this design, but thanks.

i like this... but it was better with the black... too bad you can't print it like that...
