Blood?

the idea is there, but the design needs more work. Blood wouldn't make much sense coming out of a sign. Maybe putting an arrow in it, like someone shot it with a bow?

Get rid of the white background.

Um. The idea was to make the hunting sign look hunted. They are always white with red letters. All the ones I've seen. And yes, they are usually riddled with all sorts of caliber bullet holes.
