I would say have this design on a light blue to make it look like water, then add a touch of perhaps pink or yellow (something high-contrast to the blue and black).

This is pretty cool. Reminds me of Aubrey Beardsley.



I guess my only issue is going to be with placement, because I know you like to put things in corners and what-not. The problem with that is that you have an enclosed illustration right now, with the action being between the seahorses. I feel like it's going to seem awkward in a corner because there's nothing to activate the remaining white-space of the shirt. Plus, it is going to look like the big seahorse is backing the others into a corner or vice-versa.



I wish I had a solution that didn't involve taking out seahorses putting it in the center (or center-ish). I guess we could see it on a shirt. That would help.



As for colors, I'd almost like to see you keep it black on sand or yellow to keep within a Beardsley-esque style.

Also note that the bubbles in V1 aren't really circular, but I fixed them up, so in V2 they are smooth, alother it's harder to see.

Yeah, see how the interaction between the seahorses is the focal point? At the size it is now, it's almost center but not. I would definitely try sizing it down so that focal point is more left of center. Of course, you have to be careful not to lose the detail.



Or maybe it just needs to be larger and go seam-to-seam.

I'd have to agree with the others. the image is too big for a corner design, which is also one of my faults. :P

I personally like the light yellow...

i like the blue. kinda looks like its underwater with those colors. and why did you get rid of the third seahorse? 3 seahorses looked like a group. with 2 it looks like it would be a guy and girl seahorse or somehting like that.

The leader seahorse isn't in this one because it was too big to fit into the combination squares. This is just a colour choice thing, My design that I am using is in V2 - I just need to make it smaller...

Same size as V2, but I enlarged the shirt. V1 has all the detail.

In your color options, I liked the entire right side.

Okay, I was told to make it smaller in V2 but apparantly I've made it too small... does anyone have any suggestions for placements?

Maby make the tree longer so the circel wil be more in the center of the shirt,



PLay a little whit the position, but the pictur i realy like.

And change background collor.

I like three. I think the previous position was better. Maybe try the previous design with this position.

I really like the illustration, I think it's just the layout that's throwing it off. It feels a bit uneven and spaced out. I'm sure you'll get it though, it's looking good.

It's a little lower - Do I still have placement issues? And I'm thinking about stick a couple small bubbles in the tree braches - that might over do it though.

Much better placement. But I don't like the star beneath the big bubble and by the big sea horse's head.

design is coming together very nicely. dont like the colors at all though. i liked the blue option you showed in a previous version.

i love this, seahorses have always creeped me out and you have managed to illustrate just one reason they make people's skin crawl... i actually like the colors a lot... and i think placement is good if a little big. i dont like the idea of bubbles in the trees, would draw away from the rest of the illustration... a few more in the seahorse manes however might clarify that the bastards are actually stealing bubbles though. altogether i love love love it!

This is awesome! I like both version 2 and this version. I can see how the tree seems to beg to go up and around the collar, but have you thought about an off-placement like version two with just the larger seahorse and the bubble/tree on the front and the two other seahorses extending onto the back? Either way, this is a great design!

Cool. I think I will redrawn the tree and scan it in again though - All I didn't was elongate it and now it looks a bit weird.

V.2's color scheme & layout is pretty nice. then when you add the perl/bubble tree on the others, im not so sure. the tree could maybe use some work or just get rid of it entirely. Also V.3 has some nice color choices.

I do like the idea of the wrap-around, but I'm worried about the practicalities of design with this much detail (and the detail is a great feature) being put over the seam. Check some printed designs with printing over the seam to see what I mean. You might have to belt print it now because of the wrap around and the image size (and from what I've read it's difficult to align colours in belt prints, so they're best off being single coloured). Just check the submission guidelines.



I've got to say, I personally prefer it without the tree (probably just what you don't want to hear) - I think it just distracts from the sea-horses. And I like it on the blue/grey. Good luck!

i feel though the design around the collar should just go up and to the right like a continuous line instead of the around the left too.

Beautiful drawing! I enjoy your work, you have a nice style. I am a bit confused as to why a tree is in the water? I think it would look cool if they were stealing the bubbles out of those little treasure chest bubble makers that are in aquariums. But that's just my thinking! Also, I agree that a light blue shirt would work well since it's an aquatic scene.

I'd have to say this is a very good design and I like this version the best. I think the colors work good together.

This version is the best so far. I like the placement and the wrap around element. I also like the addition of color. And the tree is a must! I say submit!

What colours do you suggest otherwise as well?

I like the wrap around...but I also like V6. I might like it even more if you messed around with the placement of the sea horses (moving the large one up a bit and the smaller ones down to the very bottom corner). Don't want you to keep getting mixed messages and new suggestions though!! So, as is looks good.

As far as the colours go I think you should go with your gut feeling becasue there is no way you are going to make everyone happy. Personally I would never were a yellow T-shirt.



I think the drawing is very pretty and I like the tree.



One thing that looks odd to my eyes though is the highlight on the bubbles. I think the lines are to thick it looks to solid, like someone has drawn squares on the bubbles. I think that you should either make the lines really thin or maybe fill in the area with white. I think that that would makle the bubbles pop. (no pun intended) :)

This is just a colour idea. I'm going to try it on the light blue maybe as well - due to popular demand. Anyway, what do you think of the black. This is the exact same as V11 just different colours and a bit of detail for you to look at easier.

I can hardly see the design. But then I know that my monitor is to dark. Have you tried white on black?

Don't use the glow and whatever.. It's simplicity made it just that strong. Keep the design like you had it, 100 times better!

The design in the top left seems to be cropped in a box, where as the rest of your design work flows out on it's own...

Sorry about that.... everything not on the top is a wrap around.

and the big thing is detail.... it won't be included in the end design.

V8 V9 and V10 are all colour options, I might add a couple more later as well.

Lets see here. I tried to spot the difference between v10 and v8. But I could not see it. Oh wait! the colour is slightly more saturated.



Anyway I already gave you my opinion about the bubbles.



I dont think the dark shirt works, even though the glowy effect looks nice. I think you could put the design on any of the lighter shirts.



I think the design seems so be ready to submitt.
