I understand your question, and suggest that the decisions related to this posterization and color scheme were probably the result of 30-45 minutes (and hence it's placement for comment; opportunity to add to its complexity). I see that your art is very involved, and perhaps that is the point of your query, yet, for me, it will be what design has graphic impact. Stay tuned for modifications -- and as to the logo that accompanies my profile... about 10 - 14 hours.
