i love it... i especially like the simplicity..... i like it better on black..... but i would move it to the center of the shirt....and i think it might even look cool without the skull....
You should focus on the moth a lot more. The skull from the cover of Silence of The Lambs is from a Salvador Dali photo of women posed in such a way as to look like a skull.
ok I expected not to like this from the thumbnail but was pleasantly surprised. I like the moth, the red circle and the blue trails, but the star and the green bits just don't quite seem to fit. Maybe add more red drippy circles in varying sizes?
Okay, based on the feedback... I added a third circle. And added more details to the design. I've put the 3 main stages/cycle of the moth, from pupae to moth.
I redid the skull. I do think the skull should be there, because of the specimen type.
this is quite different from your freudian slip design. cool.
i think this is another strong piece of yours and think that it has a chance to make it, but i think there are some slight changes needed to make it stronger.
the pupa has a tangent on the circle, just overlapping it a bit would solve that problem.
i think that overlapping the caterpillar and its circle would help too.
to be really picky, there is a dot of red showing behind the moth's left wing to erase quickly.
instead of placing the design directly in the middle, have you considered placing it asymmetrically, like down the left side?
also last thing, i think the lines and circles off to the side make it appear more aquatic. are they suppose to be something specific? i think that your design and concept are strong enough to stand on their own and leave out those add ins.
good luck to you and if you want to tear apart my own design, feel free to at hey, will you do me a favor if you have a second and go to http://www.threadless.com/critique/29307/Love_Machine
i put up a design that i'm getting critiqued before i submit it
I wanted to do something cool and simple.
