Great use of juxtaposition. I love how his sad little face plays against the context of a bright shiny sun. For your first sub, I think its a pretty strong concept!

This looks like a boob joke waiting to happen. Was that intentional? Maybe push that a little more if so (and if not, I suppose).



If that wasn't the intention, maybe have just one ice cream cone instead of two.



I like the blushing under the sun's eyes, but the hatching could be a little tighter for a more solid-looking shape.



If you go with one cone, where the other cone's puddle was could be a smaller tear drop puddle. Make it look like the tears fell out of one eye while the other is still welling up. This will help make it less symmetrical while still maintaining a balance.

Haha, no, this was not intended as a boob joke... so perhaps one cone is a good idea.

Thickened up the hatching on his blush, and moved one of the cherries up onto the cone. Does that make it less... suggestive?

Good improvements, yes, I'd say good. I agree with moving the cherry and changing the cheeks a bit. I like the colors. I like the tears welling up in Sun's eyes. I wonder if we should create a companion piece with the moon on it, enjoying a nice, big cone. Smugly.
