Hello! I have been a member of Threadless for a while now. I have had lots of ideas for t-shirts, mostly from doodles I turn into things.



This is my first idea I am going to try. I am still learning how to turn my sketches into high quality computer colored images ;)

I used Gimp. . . On my laptop. I did not have a scanner, so I took a digital picture of my sketches, and did layer by layer of stuff. . .The hardest part is I do NOT have a mouse. . .So I get frustrated and stop easily. . . I have to use that stupid square touch pad to draw with my finger 0_o



So, I thought I would submit what I have so far, this is by no means ready to submit for final judgement. Any comments on how I can improve are welcomed.



The idea is the Bee was supposed to be gaurding the Honey, but here he is eating honey. . .with the bad guy. I also had a sketch of them about to fight, So I thought the front could have them about to confront each other, then on the back we see they end up just sharing the honey together instead of fighting over it. He is a bad soldier bee.



So, in conclusion. . .far from done, wanted some critiques and suggestions, and see if it is even worth finishing. Thanks!



p.s. I am going to add a color or two more. . . I intially thought I was limited to 5.

Oops. Noticed I have not fixed the bears mouth. . .Noted.

PUBLISH IT! I may be biased. x3 But I think it's pretty awesome. I'd buy it.

Amazing idea- need to smooth out all the lines. Maybe put some wings behind the bee? Definately worth finishing well.

I was wondering, also, what sizes and placements anyone thought would work best.

Clever. A wee bit smaller size would be nice.



Just a thought: you could change the bee eyes to look a little guilty.

In my next version, I may need to make the size even smaller, and I like the guilty eyes idea ;)



So, I ask:



What Size seems best?

Is this an okay placement?

Do you like the color scheme, style, ect.?

And, Do I need to add specific details to make it more grounded. This is my first submission, so any help from you gifted people is appreciated!

Also, I think it looks best on the light blue, but I am totally into trying other colors you think are good.

I was also thinking about adding japanese writing.

I think the old bear color connected better, that way the bear's color was in one honey pot and the bee's color is in the other.

I think I agree, that makes sense about the color, bobuchan.



I am going to fix a bunch of things in my next version, like softening the lines, addind words and some little details. Any suggestions for these are appreciated.
