Wacom tablets are fun.

This was the result of my first voyage into the world of Wacom tablets. I was going for something combing pastels and surrealism; I hope I managed to come close.

I wish the person who checked "needs work" would've given me something to work on...

You might want to wither make the mystery us thing more bold or remove it, it just seems to be sitting out of place...



Also with the textures on the buildings it might be good to add something to the man with the umbrella.

Yeah, I agree with above, the writing is a bit out of place some how. Not really integrated in the design.



But I really like this concept and design otherwise. :)

yep, beautifully done, but the writing could be left behind... it doesnt fit fontwise, and it doesnt add to the design as a whole. maybe work it into the buildings somehow? or just laissez

I added some pastel effects around the guy, as suggested.

I like the text so I'm trying to improve it, but I'll take if out if need be.



In this larger version you can also easily see the crappy pattern that I used for the half-tone. I was trying to make something original and interesting, but I may end up just using the standard scanlines. You can view a close-up of it here.



Also, if you look not very carefully you'll notice that the background color changed between versions. This is actually the color I prefer it on, unfortunately it's not a color Threadless offers.

im not sure the text works...just me. Cool colors though.

I agree that I wouldn't wear this as a shirt unless I painted it on one of my shirts. reasons being, it's too big, and the muted colors aren't working for me much.
