Okaaaay... well that was weird... I submitted this as a second version, or at least tried to and it submitted it twice with a broken link....

So I thought, hey I'll just delete the new versions, but seems you can't do that and it deleted the entire critique. All my lovely feedback gone. Dammit.



Well anyway here's the design coloured. Let me know what you think and I'll submit the winner as version 3 with tee placement and detail.

This is really nice. I love version 2 and 3 but 4 isn't doing too much for me. I think the coloured outlines suit the style better and give it that softness. The 'u' idea is really cool. Took me a little while to realise but I think I actually like that.



A small thing though is the little black dots on version 2 and 3 are a bit distracting. I find myself staring at them and not the rest of the image.

Thanks for the great feedback! I love this idea and the execution. Took me a minute, but it's one of those designs that you go "oh duh!" So I think I like V3 best, but V2 also works really well with the colors. Great job!

Agreed with all the others. V3 is definitely the best.

Without the title I'd have never spotted the U, so it's a bit subtle, but those are the best kinds of jokes.

Huh... no comment how strange. Does anyone know why when I try submitting a new version and look at the preview it's squashed??



This is Version 3. Fixed the annoying random black outlines that I'd missed and here is placement. Smaller and off center is what was suggested in the first version before it was accidentily deleted but I'm not sure. Centered like this also works. Maybe even better than off center. Thinking of adding yellow as a tee colour as well.



I also need to work on presentation to it's full advantage. I'm having a bit of trouble organising the design in the space to show it off the best. Shall probably take a photo myself for tee placement.

for an overplayed concept, i really like this a lot. maybe just make the design a bit smaller?

Yeah I was a bit worried when I started out that the design idea might have been a bit done to death but had positive feedback so hopefully people like what I've done with it.

I like the design itself. It may just be the way the template looks but the design doesn't look like its blending into the shirt well enough. Perhaps you could play around with some kind of border or feathering that could make a smoother transition. But that may idea may look horrible so don't take that idea too seriously. Not sure what else needs to be done.

That's a clever idea; which I like best on sand.

I agree with aboutandy though, I'd like to see a little experimentation with the border.

not to be a sheep, but i agree with what most people are saying about the sand b/g it works well with your colours but i think the U stands out more on the others (shrugs shoulders) i dunno haha it looks good

Thanks for the crit ^_^. I wonder what it would look like rotated slightly? Just to break up the rigidity of having it completely straight. It might add a new dimension to the individual pieces and soften the image a bit more?

Very nice colour selection. I agree with more contrast could work in your favor.

Bennyman and Penguinmaster, if you have a look at version 2 which had more contrast they tended not to work so well, but I can certainly try making the outline a darker red.

I liked the tilt in v3 but is probably not going to work because of the u also being tilted, which if you tried to un-tilt it would completely reshuffle your whole drawing. I think its probably ready now thought, awesome work.
