If you choose a background, make it very subtle and non-intrusive. Fantastic illustration though, i think this is ready to submit once you make up your mind on the background issue.

I agree about the non intrusive background, maybe on the upper right of the shirt? Love the bird on stilts. :) I would also wear this.

jillustration on Aug 27 '08 I'm thinking possible one or two more birds doing silly circus things, such as one on a unicycle. I'll add a really light background of some kind to go with the birds and I'll see wht that does for the shirt.

jillustration on Aug 29 '08 hok so general consensus seems to be: background might be nice, but pretty fun as is. and since I can't think of anything subtle and silly enough to go with the birds, and i'm thinking that I like them by themselves now anyhow, I guess I'll go ahead and sub it! Thanks for all the feedback everyone.

I agree that perhaps the birds could be smaller on the shirt; maybe add a few more flying up above?

Could use some more birds or a background, the white space between the birds is a bit much :-)
