Cool image but I don't like the way her hand is in her dress, it makes it look like you don't want to draw another hand.

I agree with the above comment. I would move her hand onto her hip or something.

Thanks! I see what you mean... The refernce image I used for her had her hand behind her skirt, but it does look a bit awkward.

it could be cool if she was holding something in that hand, instead of having it behind her back. maybe something deer-related, like a deerhoof, a hunting rifle, or a tree branch? I think that would add some more complexity to the image.

Thanks, guys. I apologize that the sketch is so light, and that her antlers are hard to see. Hopefully when I ink/color them it will be easier to tell.

maybe to fix the antlers you could make them wider. that way it wouldnt just look like an ancient wig.

I agree with notkin; make the gap between the antlers large enough to tell one side from the other.

looks a lot better. for the hair i think you should keep wisps that arent a part of the antlers so it still looks like hair

Yay color yay! Those pearls were a bitch and a half to do.

7 colors! Simulated process/gradient! And perhaps even some metallic clear or shimmer on the pearls?

i really like how you use your colors, very solid lines. I cant help myself but to stare.

skintone for the hand seems a bit off vs the body.. Is this done? the skirt's creases perhaps need some shading,. looking good so far :)

Yup, the lighter hands and forearms are intentional. You can see it a little better on the small version, there's a gradient around the midde of the arm. And thanks very much!

fantastic drawing! Great Idea! Glad you put in her right hand. I like you choice of colors, however 2 things: 1 the color of her dress does not take me back to the same era that its style does , try pastels or brighter richer tones maybe but really it's not that important. 2: your colored in version does not have the line quality that your pencil version did. ie: the lines are basically the same width throughout except in her hair which is perfect. also her eyes and lips are weird in the colored one.

Hmm.... It's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure if I want it so literal like that. I'm trying to just blur the line between this sort of artistocratic high fashion with nature.

The dress line work seems off to me. I'd decrease line thickness down there. I also would nix the deer. Looking good though!
