Plain, yet needs work.

I have been chastised for photoshop airbrush. Now it's MY turn. Chastise, chastise. I think this is in development...desert island thing needs to be clearer while keeping the design uncluttered, as it is now. Also hand needs a little work on the edge nearest the viewer.

just be careful where the hand is at, methinks it's too close to the boob area. Maybe u can use 'sandy' color for the hands, instead of the fleshy real life tones. How about angle the hand towards the viewer, fingers look a bit awkward.. thanks for dropping by my crit

Added shading, changed the color format a little, added some sand and changed skin tone.. Still needs work.

I like this concept a lot!

The shadow of the tree gives a nice effect compared to your first submission. The jagged black edges bother me, maybe smooth them out? Or perhaps make them a darker color of the object they surround. For instance, around the hand would be a darker peach or brownish color, e.t.c. I do like this a lot though, great idea!

Sand is a great idea, a big mound of sand.
however I think the execution just needs to be a little better.

I don't like the sand at all. There's also some sand underneath the hand... intentional? I think you should work on smoothing out the hand.

doesn't look a lot like sand, i think it needs to be a big mound of yellow sand if you have it at all.
still think the hand needs some work, the little finger seems too long.

well its a photo of my hand, sketched, scanned, and redone so its as real as it can get.

The fingers look fine to me, it's the back of the hand that looks strange, regardless of the fact that it's a real hand. (The photo of the hand may have the same outlines as this picture, but without the shading and coloring of the pic. it just looks strange).

Fixed the sand, much better thanks for the critique. More help on making the hand not weird?

Don't hang yourself. The hand looks better. Still a bit choppy at places...... keep at it.

yeahhh i dont know what happened its a flash but its really choppy. ill fix that when i sub a new one

The last version got really jagged for some reason. I made a WHOLE lot of adjustments, fixed the shadow (thanks whoever reccomended that), changed color scheme a bit, and fixed the sand pile.

I dunno. I really like it, except for the hand. Maybe if you curled up the invisible fingers, It'll look better. Happy to help! ^_^

people really don't like the hand, maybe draw it again from scratch using a different reference image.

oh it didnt post what i said. Fixed the hand hopefully, still definitely not done yet because as i just noticed the hand still is a little off.

It might just be me but the bottom of the hand (right under the tree) looks kinda fat to me... but that might be how a real hand is lol
